Saturday's bargains and a new award too!

Good evening!! i hope you are having a GREAT weekend!! Well, it's been a HOT one for us here! we all stayed pretty close to the swamp cooler (like air conditioning) today! And i did get more photos uploaded to share!! YAY!! :)
First, at the TLC sale, we just got two nice sweaters.

We gave our donations and went off to breakfast and the swapmeet! WOOHOO!
We saw too many sweet puppies being offered for sale.
Some lab type puppies. And let me tell you that black & white one was soo attentive and CUTE!

hard to see as they slept off the morning heat, but they were all soo CUTE too! there was one there, i wished i had gotten a pic of her. she was mottled in colors of tan & white with two blue eyes!! she was sold yesterday (i was told by the vendor this morning! i knew she would go quick, but they truly ALL were ADORABLE!)
Then there was this little SWEETIE! this is a full blood brother to Cinnamon, the pom i had.

really makes me miss my little Cinnamon but she just didn't get along with my other crew of pets! i know she is very happy where she lives though and that sure eases the pain a little!! :)

ANYWAYS, lol back at the swapmeet...
Even though i haven't worked with crafts in quite some time, i couldn't resist these rub-ons for just fifty cents!

And my DH couldn't resist these plants for a dollar each.

This "Healing Unlimited" book for a buck seemed like a GREAT deal!! (yes, ANOTHER book! lol)

i LOVE this purse, for just $2.00! it will be a FANTASTIC desert purse!!

our fifty cent paper weight. i thought i could paste a pretty picture under it, to dress it up some. :)

This roadrunner necklace and turquoise pin were only $3.00!!

We got THREE of these boxes with foam in, two for storing some of my precious rocks, leaving one for when we find a fragile one and need to cushion it for the ride home!! (Now we're using our noodle!! hehe)

And then this last vendor (of Saturday's trip hehe) had the cutest little boy just barking out over and over about everything being just ONE QUARTER each and if ya find FIVE items, it'll be a dollar!! LOL he was ADORABLE and of course we found 5 items! lol we got an old pencil sharpener, a large (heavy) wooden bowl, a multi-pen holding paper weight, 3 tier wire hanging baskets, and an "Embraced by the Light" book! What a D-E-A-L!!

And then just as we were heading out, the gem vendor found us and asked us to stop by. We did and boy was i GLAD too!! He showed us some of the raw opal that he has and wanted to give me some for caring enough to show him samples of our finds at Opal Mountain! lol COOOOL!! :)

Great finds :) I always enjoy seeing all your goodies! Yes it was very hot here too these past two days- 110 at Michaeles and 104 here! Too early for SUmmer!!!
Keep cool and keep the swamp cooler running ( We cant use ours till th 27th as they come and service it and get it ready for summer, lol) Cant come too soon!

You always make out like a bandit, dearie! I can't believe the deals you got this time. That southwester jewelry is really eye-catching, I just love turquoise especially.

I think yer super-bargain was those foam-lined boxes. Those are VERY expensive usually. I have just one that I keep my vintage faceted beads in so they don't get scratched.

I remember swamp coolers, and we have both swamp coolers and "refrigerated air" here in Midland. Nothing smells as good as a brand-new aspen-wool pad in the cooler!!!

I'm completely lost with the swamp cooler..great finds this weekend..love the purse and the gap sweater was a true find..the flower was beautiful..and you did great getting those foam boxes..paperweights are always good too..I like the one with snow in them..have a great day..hugs Jazzy

How neat to get that pretty gem free. Can't get any better deal than that! Those boxes wil really be great for storing gems (what a bargain!). I have a similar paper weight, and I cut a photograph of my husband and myself and put it on the bottom of the paperweight. Enjoyed seeing all of your bargains. Congratulations on the award. laurie
