BOOOO!

Happy HOWLoween!! hehe
i've been poppin in more often lately with my crafts. tonight i have a few more to share too.
Christmas sock wreath, i particularly like the sock bow :) not sure if im gonna decorate the wreath more or not.
i recently found a neat thing called soot stamping...if you have time, check it out on you tube.
here's some of my samples:
you can even add textures with pressing paper towels on them, but they must be sprayed with a fixative or they will smudge away.
that's it for now but hoping you have a booootiful and scary time tomorrow. see ya soon, enjoy!

popping in to say

i had a wonderful birthday. quiet and at home.  hubby and son got me a three milk strawberry cake that was delish!
anyway, im actually here to show ya that i changed the wreath and it sold! yayyy
i  also sold all 4 of the free standing cheesecloth ghosts! woohooooo
here's the witch hat i decorated: front
 and back
dont look too close tho or you'll see the glue was still wet when i took this pic hah
digging around my craft stash, i found these little plastic trick or treat bags, of course i had to decorate them too
also made a couple of 6" wreaths
i really like the way they turned out :)
and finally i do have a few potion bottles done, hardest part is finding cork, so i have to come up with something else for most of them.
it's been fun.
speaking of fun, hubby and i were personally invited to Unknown Comic's show in Palm Springs which is tonite and as much as i want to go, i doubt we will... depression is a b*tch...things you want to do, dont get done for the sake of depression... i AM dealing with it better lately, crafting proves that much :)
i've  done more this past month, than in past year and that says alot since this is my birthday month...that is always depressing since hitting 50 heh
anyway, i got one last thing to share. hubby and i get bored with things around here and always try to make things fun and recently i came across something that definitely makes that breakfast chore, a bit more fun.
i drew eyes on some eggs and if cracked properly, they look like this:
hahahaha
well, now that i've updated you, im off :D
hope you have an awesome halloween, see ya soon!

October already!?!

hard to believe the summer is gone. i still think summer is my favorite season, spring is a very close 2nd, then fall and i would LOVE to forget winter exists haha even here in the desert!
been crafting and even tho i dont have the room, i am still enjoying it, i missed it so much.
here's some of the fun:
some bendable mummies

some ghosties
and a boa wreath
i am also working on some potion bottles but the lids arent done yet.
it has been awhile since i actually crafted for a holiday or season. i've always LOVED crafting. but dont think i'm giving up on scrapping! HA i doubt i will ever stop doing SOME crafty type things, no matter what it is, i love trying new things and re-doing old ones.
slowly getting back into feeling up to it again, since hubby and my health has been going goofy on us. been a real rollercoaster trying to keep going, so im not gonna promise i will be back regularly but i do hope to be blogging more often. anyways, thanks for visiting, i do hope you enjoyed your stay and stop back again soon. :)

it's almost october!

i know i havent been around for quite awhile but i AM still here. tho i post now and then i really havent shared much of what has been happening. well, now i will :)
today, autumn is really showing itself with blustery winds that i feel in the house, brr, gonna go down to high 40's tonite and wont even make it to 80 degrees today. it wont last, thankfully, it'll be warming up again tomorrow. yea i know, enough about the weather, ok, ok well for those who care, grab a drink and a snack and get comfy cause it's gonna be a LLLLLONNGGGG one, just to prepare you, it aint all pretty.
this has been one helluva couple of years. probably our worst to date and hopefully our last, that bad!!!
was doctoring WAYYYY too much and still feel like poop. hah
i am determined to get thru this and trying to keep up my spirits tho it has been terribly difficult, at times.
osteoporosis, arthritis, copd, hair loss and then two seizures!!! after an eeg testing, they found 'something wrong'... actually still got more tests in november to hopefully find out what's going on there!
it's been a real downward spiral, but i keep trying to fight it all.
depression is truly a bitch!! and has a real good grip on me for the past few years...none of this helped.
we are hoping to move to a better place within the near future (meaning not after TEN years waiting lol) been here way too long, with all the marine bomb practices and military activity with jets and helicopters maneuvers. the one neighbor shoots rattlesnakes at any given time of day or night, the other neighbor lets their 3 dogs out to roam free and the newest neighbor, after moving in with one dog, got another and another and i think he's up to 8 now. 4 are legal in our county but hell who hears when they bark? it's only on two occasions ...... literally DAY and NIGHT!
been on so many darned meds that i cant even have a shot or two (and since finding whipped cream vodka, a shot or two was REALLY tasting er, i mean, doing me good hehe)
hubby still goes to the swapmeet every weekend but i dont. havent been out much except to the doctor. sometimes hubby even gets me to the dollar store after the dr cause he wants me to get out more.
anyways, it HAS been tough on both of us. hubby's health isnt as good as it use to be either and getting older dont help none :)
i do still try and keep busy by crafting, tho i really dont have the space. sometimes i'll scrap, do cards and even sell them but since it's almost halloween, i have been playing around with halloween-y crafts.
made a black feather boa wreath
and some free standing ghosts
next project is 'witches potion bottles'. eh, it keeps me sane :)
what have you been up to lately? i dont really check on too many blogs but do see some of you on facebook and still love the work you are doing!
anyways, guess i brought you up to date pretty good. i hope you enjoyed your visit and i didnt bring ya down too much. such is life, good and bad. and heck, it wasnt even as long winded as i thought it would be, you got off easy haha
please know that i think of so many of you so often and wonder how you are doing. please do keep in touch and thanx for visiting, have an awesome day! xo

more pondering

really gets to me when we have to waste so much time on people in trials when we ALL know that normal people dont kill or rape or rob at gunpoint or break into someone's place to rob them. so if we KNOW this then why can they doubt or question the perpetrator's sanity? makes no sense to me! and when crimes are committed, doesnt that mean, if they dont follow our rules or laws as a citizen they should lose their american rights as a citizen? oh heck no, they get more rights then the victim, which is INSANE to me. right now we got the george zimmerman trial going on and wasting so much time and money when as soon as we heard HE WAS TAUGHT TO NOT FOLLOW ANYONE, case should have been closed. but no now courts have the right to bring in the victim's past but not the defendant's which is completely backwards to me!!! they are putting the victim on trial, like the did with Travis Alexander as well, when we all know jodi ariasshole says ' i didnt mean for the gun to go off, i didnt know it went off' but yet she stabbed him almost 30 times and slashed his throat THEN shot him. but even if we believe her saying she shot him first, (which would be the dumbest thing to do, in believing one word that prolific liar says, even judges follow a rule, for the most part, if they hear one lie, then the whole testimony goes out the window) yet she was on the stand LYING for 18 unbelievable time wasting days and only thing outta that was her lawyers got richer as they prolonged that trial. but even if we believed she shot him first and 'didnt know the gun off, didnt mean to shoot him" then why follow up with almost 30 stabs and throat slashed?!??! makes no sense to waste this time and money and try to muddy the evidence with all her sex when anyone with half a brain who doesnt EVEN have to know Travis, knows he didnt abuse her in anyway, he put up with her bullshit for months.
our court system is a joke and needs an overhaul! when someone commits a crime, DONT put the victim on trial, when we KNOW this person committed the crime, dont tell me they are innocent until proven guilty, cause then i think the defense is gonna lie, deceive and try to confuse the evidence to make the defendant LOOK innocent when WE KNOW better in most cases!! innocent jailed and on death row and killers get off with little or no sentences

something else to ponder

how right is it that  anyone can take out a life insurance policy on you even if you dont get along  or they are your foe and have you killed to collect? worse part is anyone can get a policy without your knowledge, how fair is that to you? so many things in this country need to change for the better and there is so much room to be better. instead we have shit like ohio passing laws on taking control over women's reproductive rights. so wrong

more things i've pondered

in this country, it seems the criminal gets more rights than the victims which is unacceptable anymore! what ever rights the criminal took from the victim, those rights should be taken from the criminal and that's me being fair, as i TRULY believe that once you commit the crime, you gave up your rights as a civilian of this country. but by no standards should the criminal have more rights thank the victim and more power than the courts.
i truly believe that if zimmerman wants to claim its him on tapes screaming for help even tho he was the profiler, hunter and armed, then we should be able to stun gun him and see how high his voice sounds. i know it sounds horrible but even the innocent have been stunned gun or tazed by cops, why cant we use it as a test on a criminal?
tbese sports people are getting out of hand with their obscene wealth when eve THEY KNOW that kind of money should go to police and fire fighters, who by the way, are mostly volunteers.
if things were done even close to what i suggest, so much bullshit would stop almost immediately, i'd bet on that.
war crimes should be charged on the bush men when they get rich as they destroy the backbone of america, the middle class. it, to me is disgusting, what's happening in these days and i pray the right people smarten up and start getting things right soon or we are all doomed as a civilized country.
anyone who takes the time to read this, i would love to hear from ya :)

really been quite awhile now

since last blogging i have been a little creative with making dollhouse miniatures, cards, painting stones like ladybugs, just trying all kinds of things here and there. see some samples:
mini barbeque grill

ladybug AND strawberry painted stones

but my health has been really top priority as of lately. one thing or another has been going on since before beginning of this year and it's truly been tough. i try to keep things positive and remain strong but with all the crap with GMO's being approved in our foods and now vaccines and how crazy the world has become, it's growing tougher each day.
hence why i write today, i hear this crap in baseball with how many men now being accused of using steroids and no one has a solution to put this shit to an end, well i have something i think they should try... if ONE person is found using steroids, then the whole team should be benched (at whatever sport) for the entire season, more importantly WITHOUT pay, then maybe these buttholes would think twice before repeating the same offense.
Also i have been watching diligently, some court cases and realize it's not the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth anymore but win or lose at whatever cost, which is absolutely unacceptable! how dare lawyers run the victims name thru the trash in hopes of confusing the jurors and being proud when they do, when a judge KNOWS the  lawyers are bullshitting or outright lying, fine them, jail them but serve them somehow with punishment, so this comes to an end! how can anyone have faith in or believe the system will bring justice otherwise?
and finally i ask what is going on with these GMOs in our all our foods from baby formula to kool aid? why target our children with these organisms that have been proven to cause diseases and now that WE have these diseases, why isnt the government supporting us being their experimental guinea pigs? instead they destroy the middle class, so its rich and poor classes only and feed us poisons and fine us for wanting to grow our own foods!? what the hell happened to america and the american way where we could be proud to wave Old Glory?
when i see sports events so expensive the average man cant afford to support their team, same with concerts and celebrities and people who act like the world is just fine instead of getting involved in making it right, it just doesnt make sense and really makes me wonder where this is all going. capitalism, make money, great but not at the cost of your fans, constituents  or citizens!
i know many that visit my blog, will not even bother reading this entire post cuz it's not about crafts and they dont want or have to face what's going on, but i encourage you to get involved. whether you live in the states or not, it is problematic to us all, effects us all and we all need to get involved to end it. it has been going on for years and getting only worse as we remain silent. we must stand up and speak out to let them know these things just are no longer acceptable before it is too late. support your local farmers, artists, musicians and dont be afraid to MAKE your represenative, represent you.

been awhile!

this is the first time i am posting this year, wow. it's been kinda tough and things arent letting up anytime soon, sadly enough.
anyway, i am here to hopefully inspire anyone who still visits my ol' blog.
i'm gonna share some backgrounds i made and hope if you use them, you show me what you did AND i also hope to encourage you to try some of these techniques as well.
first up is a painted background, just squeeze the paint out in streams and have fun:
Photobucket
second is just glitter glue dropped on page and then sponged around:

or just sponge different paints on your paper or cardstock:
