bargains & a giveaway too!!

Good evening! Well, i sure hope your day was a better day than mine!!! it's pretty bad when the highlight is the morning bloodwork! lol
Anyways, ready to see some GREAT bargains!?
i got a sweet deal on this turkey for only a quarter!

i found this shoe necklace for a buck!

the boot pendant was a buck too!

These mini copper pans were a steal at a quarter each!

This zebra box is a gas!! and pretty big too at about 20 inches tall, it was $3.00!! AND the vendor asked ME what it was!LOL we ALL had a laugh when i said "who knows, but what fun!" lol

And when it opens it does like an explosion box! Have you ever made one of those? they are great fun!!! :) i THINK the straps,inside, hold shoes, maybe?! lol who knows? hehe

this little lot of goodies was only $3.00.

speaking of fun, how about a coconut bra for $3.00!! lol

i paid $2.00 for these votive holders. they are so pretty!!

i thought my real bargain, came when i bought this dress for only $3.00!!!

And can you believe, NO BOOKS, but i did get.... another purse! lol but i LOVE it!

But the TRUE FUN came after we got home and DH went to the post office!! there was a package!!

just look at all the GOODIES!! WOOOHOO!! what can they ALL be?? hehe

LOL it's the MOUSTACHE i won from Olde Dame Penniwig!!! WOOHOOOOO!! Yep! There is the acorn bell AND the moustache!!

There is also an AWESOME mica stone, a star ornament & what's that?!! BEAUTIFUL earrings!! Thank you so much dear Penniwig!!! HUGS!!

the photo does not do these BEAUTIES any justice!! they are absolutely STUNNING!! and i already had the chance to wear them and did!!! DH & DS took me out to Pizza Hut, Saturday night since it's been so extemely hot still!! This week the temps are expected to come down some and i will be relieved when it does!!

Quails visits

Hello again! :) i am running very late with this post, it's late Sunday night but i wanted to post a few photos of our visiting quail. There are two different groups coming by and the difference is very COOL!

we have this family of very little young ones.

Just look how little! hehe They don't even have the little head feather yet! CUTE!

Rainbows, a hat & giveaways!!

Good morning!! :) the past few days have not only been INCREDIBLY hot but there have been storms in the area. Well, last night, the storms were HERE!!!

very unusual, especially for the summer (dry) months but we have higher mountains all around us here that usually keep all the weather (& clouds) away! Not only did it storm here last night but the one storm brought HUGE raindrops!! DH went out for
3 seconds, to close a window which just required a push, and he came in
completely soaked!! lol i did manage to get a few pictures of the
rainbow, in between storms!

it was actually a double rainbow but the second one was barely
noticeable to the nake eye and didn't show up on the photos too well.

i also have a few more pictures to share from the weekend!! :)
This one is the cowbay hat ceramic (for lack of a better word), it's almost life sized! Lol
Got it for only a buck, because the last owner, had it outside where i will probably put it, as well! hehe

My sweetie saw this vehicle, one of the days his brother was visiting and they both came home and told me about it. Since i almost always have the camera, we were lucky enough to see it again! DH's face was ADORABLE when he saw it again, he was so excited! lol

It's a 29 Ford Model A Roadster (convertible) pickup truck!! i LOVE the color!! :)

Isn't it GORGEOUS!!!?! Has a small block Chevy engine with automatic transmission!! :)

When our ship rolls in, it will be his!! AHhhhhhhhhhhhhh to D-R-E-A-M!!! hehe
Yesterday, i got a package in the mail!!!!WOOHOO!! oh how i LOVE my blog sisters!! :) (that's not a bad wig, by the box, it's just Coco!! lol)

On top, inside, was this little card and AWESOME notepad!!!

As i dug into the packing materials i found the true TREASURE!!! This BEAUTIFUL bone china tea set for one that i won from one of the blog giveaways!!!! it is absolutely LOVELY!!!

the picture is a bit blurry, i guess i was a tad excited!! lol i could hardly wait to find its place in the hutch!! And that didn't take long!!! hehe

Saturday's bargains!

Good evening!! i sure hope you are having a WONDERFUL evening where you are! it's just been H-O-T here, over a hundred everyday for more than a week now and no letting up in sight!! Thank goodness for the swamp cooler! DH told me about when his parents would come out in this area, to the cabin that they owned back in the 50's, and they didn't have a swamp cooler, just a box fan! how awful!! i could not imagine NOT having something to put cool air back into the room!! We didn't even go to the swapmeet for two Sundays in a row now, cause it's just been terrible!
Saturdays, we take DS to work, so are up early enough to run through the swapmeet before it gets too bad! This Saturday, we were ready to leave by a little after 9am and it was already hitting me, how hot it was at that point!! But we sure managed to get a few bargains along the way! hehe
We also saw more puppies for sale, like these pitbull types, that i heard the vendor saying he got a thousand for the girls and they are papered, but i didn't hear how much he wanted for the boys.

And then we saw these chihuahuas for $125.00 each, i am sure NO papers!

i did see this really CUTE kids tent too! i LOVEd it!! (but we didn't buy the pups OR the tent!!)

But we DID get this vase & framed picture, for a buck total!

These books were $3.00 total.

And then i saw this on the book man's table and ask how much!

At first he told me a buck and as i was getting the money, he says, "Shirley, just take it with ya!!!" THANK YOU!! i guess he realizes just how much business we give him each week! i think he is the ONLY vendor we actually DO buy from, each week! lol
i don't know, i just know it was SWEET of him to do!! :)
This jeweled wire headband was only 50 cents!

Three dollars for this CUTE table fountain! we talked about using it to make a pond. (shrugs shoulders)

We did get a very COOL cowboy hat ceramic, that i forgot to get the re do photo OFF the camera but will share it tomorrow! Other than that, that is all we got today! it was so hot by this point, i can only imagine it was nearing a hundred by 9am!! if we don't get it done in the early morning, it might not get done that day, cause the evenings haven't been offering too much relief either! hehe We did see the roadrunner in the mesquite tree when we got back from breakfast this morning but by the time we got in and the animals out to do their business and then back in & settled, we BOTH forgot about our bird friend!! lol Blame it on the HEAT!!! lol
