some dollhouse updates

Good evening! i thought i would pop on and update you on the dollhouse front! hehe
we are running so far behind this year, we haven't even put up the pool yet! sheesh!! Anyways, the dollhouse is to the point of only needing to do the 'glass' (acetate) part of the windows and then a few rooms are completed!! But i am not that far in uploading pictures! lol
we did get this craft room desk done and i LOVE how the drawers really pull out!

And when DH saw some stones and shells, he had this WONDERFUL creation in mind and finally got it done! i LOVE it! Thank you, Sweetie!

i even started to get some wall art done, like this little shell wreath.

And i LOVE how this pendant makes such a cute portrait for the living room!!

We even found a cute little pet bed at one of the recent yard sales.

And lastly, i wanted to share a few other items we recently found at yardsales!

Something most ironic happened to us today and i can hardly share it!!
This week, DH has been working on the bathroom and kitchen items and instead of using this really pretty thing for the bathroom sink, since it's in the back of the house and really would not been seen, we decided to make it the kitchen sink. And so he has been making a cabinet to fit the sink in the kitchen. Well, today he goes to a yard sale and comes back with this AWESOME little dollhouse that is ONLY a kitchen and bathroom and will be really handy for parts we may need. And guess what it didn't have?!!!! i dare ya to guess! well, it didn't have a kitchen sink!!!! Just what he finished making today!!!! i PROMISE to upload the photos soon but i did make a video of the 'house' he bought (for $4.00!) It is the CUTEST and the doorbell works, and so do the toilet (makes the sound of flushing) and the shower and just when we thought we had seen it all, we discovered that the washer and dryer really open and spin!!!!! i would LOVE to share the video i made, but it is SIXTY megs!!! i could NOT believe it, it was just a short video!! lol Anyways, i can hardly wait to share the photos! Been awhile!

Did you miss me? hehe well, i sure missed you! :D
we got quite far on the dollhouse but that will be for the next post! Today, i have some BARGAINS! WOHOO!
Recently we went to a church sale and found these cute mini swords & pans and that really cool fur box... all for about five bucks! i LOVE a GREAT bargain, don't you? :D

oh i also found this really cute wrap around, recently at the swapmeet...it was only a buck! i LOVE the print!

we also found this lot at a yard sale.

This was a three dollar lot from the swapmeet.

i think i paid a buck for this incense burner. i know it was certainly no more than a dollar. i am thinking of making it like a mini garden sculpture.

with all the stone eggs i buy so cheaply, we are always happy to find pretty egg cups to hold them all.

This was a six dollar lot from a yard sale.

i bought this lovely light sweatshirt for a dollar from a sweet elderly woman's yard sale.

This covered dish was only fifty cents!

we paid two dollars for this small lot. i am thinking of using the statues as mini garden sculptures also.

this bottle topper seemed very old, with bubbles imperfections in it.

we paid a buck for this GREAT salad bowl.

One dollar for this pretty italian plate.

and a buck for this AWESOME rolled bowl.

And of course, more books! lol

And even more still! LOL

We are almost done here, hang in there! hehe
i paid three dollars for this 4 cd set.

We saw this book and sent it to my son in New York since scuba diving is one of his passions!

i was THRILLED to find this mannequin necklace display, for only five dollars!

And finally, we bought this LOVELY hanging charm thingy for a buck and it looks so COOL, the photo hardly does it justice.

It's Official, it's broken!

popping in to let you know that a few weeks ago, i stubbed my toe, like i have never stubbed it before. got an x-ray and it's got a fracture!

Now i am not use to putting my feet across the internet but i honestly thought this was the first break in my life until the dr. told me that there was a past break in my foot but it healed and he could not tell me how long ago it was broken! INCREDIBLE! lol
No good drugs either, for the pain (and it HURTS!) just a prescription for a heavy ibuproben. LOL
anyways, it's getting better already, i am a quick healer. hehe

Good evening! it's so nice to take some time off, even if it's only from the computer! hehe And yes, i have PLENTY to show you!
Guess we'll start with a dollhouse update, eh? Let's see, where did we end? :)
i don't think you have seen the tulip box that i made.

And besides, the stairs, the living room is ready for curtains, too.

i am not sure where the update is in this photo but thought i would share it anyways.

i also got more furniture done!

The bathroom finally got wallpapered!

And the pantry, off the kitchen got wallpapered too! WOHOO!

i made some fabric bolts, for the craft room.

And even though, i found a tub that i had around here and am planning out the sink and toilet! hehe

DS said something about a wanting to see a pie cooling in the window! well this may be a little premature but there it is! lol

i also finished another little parasol! i guess i am planning on making a shop to "sell" them! lol

That is all i have uploaded for now but will get busy on it so i can share more still! i sure hope you are enjoying this late spring, where you live! it's just plain getting hot around here! lol of course!
