Good evening! since i have been mostly foggy with these meds, & unable to think of things to blog about i have been just goofing around on twitter. but i finally got a few photos uploaded & til i get around to sharing some of the cards i have made, i hope you enjoy these! :)
Hubby went to a yard sale the other day and came home with this for only $3.00. it surely looks like its maybe from the 60's or 70's, we think and makes a pretty cool whirlpool of beads. which is totally different from any kind of lava lamp kind.

i put a towel in the background hoping it would show up better, should have used a darker towel maybe!?

that's all i have tonight but let me tell you, i found another folder FULL of older bargains that we gotten... although i may not remember all the prices we paid for them, by now anymore, if you have followed me for any length of time, you know, we don't pay much... we are poor and very cheap! hehe :)

With the beautiful Elizabeth Taylor's recent passing, i got to thinking about old Hollywood that is gone forever. the so called 'celebrities' today are nothing like old Hollywood. which got me to thinking of the beauty lost. all the stories about Elizabeth and everyone saying she was the most beautiful woman in the world, got my husband thinking about Hedy Lamarr and her beauty. alot that i read up on told me that Hedy was fascinating & smart, as well as the same story about being the most beautiful woman. did you know that Hedy was co-inventor of a component that is still used in wifi systems!! but they were both so interesting and lovely!!so we looked up images and well, you be the judge...

time for a new kit soon

thank you all for such supportive comments on my latest kit. the links have now been removed so it must be time soon for a new kit...i better get working! hehe
we are just getting over the worst winter storm this season, which happened on sunday, the first day of spring. and it wasn't even so much that we had snow, but it was bitter cold and the winds were tremendous, along with some rain. we lost power early afternoon (about 1:30pm) and it didn't come back on for dinner (all electric house), heat or my breathing treatment. we lit quite a few candles and even put one of the cats in the kennel so we would have less chance for mishap. but when it came to the time for my breathing, i needed power! so we remember that a rock hounder (from the rock club) lived close by and off the grid with solar panels, so we called and luckily he was happy to invite us over. i, of course, felt like we were imposing but he could not have been nicer, offering us some warm pizza and time to plug in. but even though driving there was only about 10 minutes tops, it took much longer because there were sand walls of wind!!! it was really awful and then we use the wipers to clean the windshield from sand covering it completely, only to find there was some rain mixed in. and the rain, though it wasn't much all at once, those drops were huge and just slushed up the window! so then we expect they will get the power up the next day and no such luck, till late, only AFTER hubby moved the generator and got the whole thing set up and filled(yes we have one but it was not ready, obviously). it was over 30 hours before they fixed it!! and we weren't going without power ANOTHER night! the very next day, it went out again but for only about a minute! and all this after an upgrade right after the holidays, that was suppose to last no longer than 6 hours without power and turned into over 16 then!! so now, just since we turned the clocks ahead (what? two weeks ago) we have had a MINIMUM of 4 outages!! i think 6 but the guys say they know for sure 4, well, now 5 (since that one minute outage)!! and the topper was that when we got 2miles down our sand road to the blacktop one, there was power ALL AROUND on the other side of that road! UN-freaking-BE-LEE-VA-BULL!
most of the day, i either read or sat and cut some of the stuff i printed out for the card making i am getting into. hubby still wants to continue with the dollhouse making, and me too, but now not only do the drs. have me on a high dose of anti anxiety meds, but now have started me on an anti depressant as well, so today i was like a zombie! didn't get too much done but i wasn't angry or depressed! hehe
hubby got through the outage by getting some of his homework done in the day and our son had most of his hand held games charged up, luckily, so he was quite entertained!
today, i felt so out of it, i could not cut or even read, it is now after 8 pm and i can finally sit up and see enough to type a bit. it's been honestly rough but we shall overcome!! thank you for your continued prayers. HUGS! i will be back soon. have an awesome evening!

a few things to share and a question...or two.

Good Morning! this will be the nicest day of the next 7 here, for us, but it will only be about 10 degrees cooler and since today will almost 80 again, that's not too bad, huh?
Well, besides the papers, cardstock, ribbons, fabrics, rubber stamps & inks,and more that i have come across, i found a few items that just never worked with the jewelry we made, but boy oh boy, they should work GREAT with cards (and layouts too, now that i think of it!). like these flat back baubles and rhinestones.

And these spangles, remmeber those?!

i even came across a bowlful of markers and metal charms, with glitter and i think that may be some of my embossing powders.

But did you think to look in any nail section in any store? we did and found these WONDERFUL nail designs that should add some AWESOME sparkle!

and NEVER forget to pass those cheap earrings, there are OFTEN (more than not) something that you can take apart and use! hehe
and i FINALLY tried to make my first ribbon rose... not too bad?!

and now for the REAL question: Have you shared your breakfast yet? it's REALLY simple, easy & takes just a minute of your time, so a child who may not have a breakfast, will get one, just from you sharing a photo of yours?!!! i have, at least, three times so far and i believe there is a limited time on doing this, so please help these hungry children... i know, right now everyone is busy helping Japan but this takes no money and very little time, just a shared photo and we ALL know how to do that!!! click the link to be taken there.

good morning!

i hope spring is finally arriving where you live. today is starting out a bit chilly but should turn out nicely again. i love the spring. it brings wild sky scenes with the change in temperatures.

Another new week

First and foremost, i really want to thank you ALL for your prayers...they MUST be helping because my faith is restoring, which i am surprised about and i actually feel some joy back in my heart. and YES i even started to pray again (mostly asking forgiveness). i cannot believe how badly i failed this spiritual test, but that is what makes me human, i suppose. (sheepish grin)
i had been working on my first kit, (in about 3 years, since before all my muscle and health issues started, doesn't feel that long but has been). And i started working on making physical cards before this last diagnosis, that really just felt like the rug being pulled out from under me, landing flat on my face, but slowly feeling like getting back into it all. yay.

what a week it's been!

as you may know, if you follow my blog (heck even the followers don't really follow)i have been ill since before christmas. well, this week, i was told it was a mild case of pnuemonia but they hadn't seen the chest xrays that were SUPPOSE to be there on time. and they of course, weren't! so i asked them to call and let me know when they get them.
well,let me tell you, if i hadn't REQUESTED another breathing treatment this morning, i still wouldn't know (and may STILL call or write the board of health!).
i call this morning and request time to come in for a breathing treatment (which doesn't take but a moment of the dr.'s time to verify its necessity) and was told it shouldn't take too long since there was only one patient scheduled before my call. so i go ahead and schedule a 9:30 am appt. and STILL had to wait FORTY FIVE minutes before the dr. comes in for 30 seconds and verifies its necessity (like who would really go in there otherwise??? and if there are some who do, don't they know it's not ME that would do that, by now???? i only been seeing these idiots for 5 or 6 years or more!!!!!!!!!!!!!) anyways, after the treatment, the dr comes back and asks if i feel any different from the other two i got this weeek, i said not really, as a matter of fact, this one didn't immediately help like the others. he proceeds to tell me that they saw my xray and it's not mild pnuemonia, its a form of copd or a form of emhysemia (sorry for the spelling)... are you kidding, i asked and he wasn't!! but they were not going to tell me till my appt. that i have on this coming monday!!!! even tho i called specifically and TOLD the dr himself, that i wanted a phone call when they got the xray results... noonce called and no one was going to call!! i guess they were gonna bless me with a blissfully ignorant weekend of just not knowing. when i confronted them about why i wasn't called, they said they didnt feel it was an emergency. i walked out. i am livid and fed up and quite frankly feel completely betrayed by god himself!!!!!!!!@! i am alone and i am PISSED off!!!! so i will now understand if you don't want to come visit my blog anymore, don't blame ya!
don't even know if i will, at this point continue it at all...even though i had a pretty cool kit i was working on toshare. screw it.
nothing is working right, now my new computer, not the animals gettin along, not john getting a job and his unemployment running out and for shit's sake i can't even smoke. funny isn't it/?> well, it's been reall fun and i am sorry to end on such a bummer. yall have a great life and thanx for the fun we had. bye.
