a little Mardi Gras & more

i hope your weekend is going well! Ours SO FAR (hehe) is BEEYOUTEEFULL but more about that later!
i wanted to share a blog i found, that is sharing her pretty Mardi Gras masks
AND
here's another blog sharing a free mardi gras grab bag
AND hehe
i have to share the news at Moo Two Designs !! Farm Fresh Commercial Use Freebies every Friday!! MOOOOWOOO!!

Personally i wanted to share my Love Coupons tonight but 4shared wasn't playing very nice so i left but i WILL go back tomorrow and try again! lol
Today my DH & DS both took the day off so DH & i could go somewhere special and thankfully the weather held out and turned to be quite a lovely day!
my passion to go, began last summer when we actually missed the opportunity by some wierd incident that eventually told me i simply was not ready to hear 'the truth'. but today we had another opportunity to meet an actual & true Buddhist Monk for a session of Healing Touch. Now i, of course, don't know where you stand on this but i feel we ALL have our own journey to take, that leads us to our own personal enlightenment. And i truly found this AWESOME!!
we watched for awhile, soon after we arrived, and observed a health reading by this Monk. soon it was our turn, he used candles i believe to touch our backs and was able to somehow get the impression of our health status and gave us guidance on diet change to help remedy these ailments. it was INCREDIBLE! During the course of the day, the Monk placed several medallions on a plate, as a memento for us to have as a continued blessing. We were told that during a journey to a place in Tibet, he was told he would find these 7 items that he had created in an earlier incarnation, some 700 years ago and he found them and had these medallions made to show replicas of these items. was verryy cool. We did ask for a picture and after someone took one of us with him, only THEN did his hosts think of bringing out their videocam lol Glad i could inspire them AFTER we were done, because i had NO makeup & my hair up and was a NERVOUS bundle of happiness lol i sure didn't need to see that later, it's hard enough to wrap me head around all this. the vibe i felt from him was so spiritual and holy it brought tears to my eyes a few times.... but always a smile or grin on my face. it was an utterly awesome experience, if you believe and i do :D
"Loong Pao Prasert Itthiyano ordained and practiced in Thailand for 53 years. He has incredible gifts of seeing into the future, revealing the knots in people past and uncovering the best ways for people to find their way out of suffering.
The real seeker of truth never seeks truth. On the contrary, he tries to clean himself of all that is untrue, inauthentic, insincere - and when his heart is ready, purified, the guest comes. You cannot find the guest, you cannot go after him. He comes to you; you just have to be prepared."
was part of what i received when i heard of this event. and in as much as i DO seek the truth, i think it makes sense to cleanse myself of all that too but when i read the last part about not finding the guest, not GOING after him, i remembered last summer and HOPED i was prepared enough lol well i guess i was (sigghhh)
actually he is speaking again tomorrow, with sessions in the day and a talk later, i would LOVE to go to the talk since we didn't stay ALLLL day for this one. We did stay for lunch with him, which was very cool too, and then watched a few more one on one sessions before we took the journey home again. my spirits were lifted so much. this was DEFINITELY a much needed visit and i am glad DH liked it too :D
some pictures of my day :D

Just some fun info

Hi :D First i hope you are all visiting my DH's blog and sharing your views with him! Today he has a WONDERFUL message to share :D
Second, i have some Ponderisms hehe
Can you cry under water?

How important does a person have to be before they are considered assassinated instead of just murdered?

Why do you have to 'put your two cents in'.. But it's only a 'penny for your thoughts'? Where's that extra penny going to?
Once you're in heaven, do you get stuck wearing the clothes you were buried in for eternity?

Why does a round pizza come in a square box?
What disease did cured ham actually have?

How is it that we put man on the moon before we figured out it would be a good idea to put wheels on luggage?

Why is it that people say they 'slept like a baby' when babies wake up like every two hours?

If a deaf person has to go to court, is it still called a hearing?

Why are you IN a movie, but you're ON TV?

Why do people pay to go up tall buildings and then put money in binoculars to look at things on the ground?

Why do doctors leave the room while you change? They're going to see you naked anyway.

Why is 'bra' singular and 'panties' plural?

Why do toasters always have a setting that burns the toast to a horrible crisp, which no decent human being would eat?

If Jimmy cracks corn and no one cares, why is there a stupid song about him?

Can a hearse carrying a corpse drive in the carpool lane ?

If the professor on Gilligan's Island can make a radio out of a coconut, why can't he fix a hole in a boat?

If Wile E. Coyote had enough money to buy all that ACME crap, why didn't he just buy dinner?

If corn oil is made from corn, and vegetable oil is made from vegetables, what is baby oil made from?

If electricity comes from electrons, does morality come from morons?

Do the Alphabet song and Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star have the same tune?

Why did you just try singing the two songs above?

Why do they call it an asteroid when it's outside the hemisphere, but call it a hemorrhoid when it's in your butt?

Did you ever notice that when you blow in a dog's face, he gets mad at you, but when you take him for a car ride, he sticks his head out the window?

Aren't they FUN? lol i LOVE silly things like that, NOT that i don't have enough to think on! ROFL

And a final thought:

whale of a tale!

First, Thanks so much for your comments! i really do LOVE reading them and i truly enjoy them!!
Second, most of what i have been posting, came thru emails. here's one i LA LA LOVE!!!!
Photobucket
If you read the front page story of the SF Chronicle, you would have read about a female humpback whale who had become entangled in a spider web of crab traps and lines.

She was weighted down by hundreds of pounds of traps that caused her to struggle to stay afloat. She also had hundreds of yards of line rope wrapped around her body, her tail, her torso, a line tugging in her mouth.

A fisherman spotted her just east of the Farralone Islands (outside the Golden Gate ) and radioed an environmental group for help.

Within a few hours, the rescue team arrived and determined that she was so bad off the only way to save her was to dive in and untangle her.
Photobucket
a very dangerous proposition. One slap of the tail could kill a rescuer. They worked for hours with curved knives and eventually freed her.

When she was free, the divers say she swam in what seemed like joyous circles. She then came back to each and every diver, one at a time, and nudged them, pushed gently around --- she thanked them. Some said it was the most incredibly beautiful experience of their lives.
Photobucket
The guy who cut the rope out of her mouth says her eye was following him the whole time, and he will never be the same.

May you, and all those you love,
be so blessed and fortunate ..
to be surrounded by people
who will help you get untangled
from the things that are binding you.

And, may you always know the joy
of giving and receiving gratitude.

Third and final thought
Photobucket
Have a BEAUTIFUL day and thank you so very much for your visit!! :D HUGS!

some facts to share

I found this interesting.
Do you know? I didn't know! How could we?
Did you know that 47 countries' have reestablished their embassies in Iraq ?
Did you know that the Iraqi government currently employs 1.2 million Iraqi people?
Did you know that 3100 schools have been renovated, 364 schools
are under rehabilitation, 263 new schools are now under construction and
38 new schools have been completed in Iraq ?
Did you know that Iraq 's higher educational structure consists
of 20 Universities, 46 Institutes or colleges and 4 research centers, all
currently operating?
Did you know that 25 Iraq students departed for the United
States in January 2005 for the re-established Fulbright program?
Did you kno w that the Iraqi Navy is operational? They have 5 -
100-foot patrol craft, 34 smaller vessels and a naval infantry regiment.
Did you know that Iraq 's Air Force consists of three
operational squadrons, which includes 9 reconnaissance and 3 US C-130
transport aircraft (under Iraqi operational control) which operate day
and night, and will soon add 16 UH-1 helicopters and 4 Bell Jet Rangers?
Did you know that Iraq has a counter-terrorist unit and a
Commando Battalion?
Did you know that the Iraqi Police Service has over 55,000 fully
trained and equipped police officers?
Did you know that there are 5 Police Academies in Iraq that
produce over 3500 new officers each 8 weeks?
Did you know there are more than 1100 building projects going on
in Iraq ? They include 364 schools, 67 public clinics, 15 hospitals, 83
railroad stations, 22 oil facilities, 93 water facilities and 69
electrical facilities.
Did you know that 96% of Iraqi children under the age of 5 have
received the first 2 series of polio vaccinations?
Did you know that 4.3 million Iraqi children were enrolled in
primary school by mid October?
Did you know that there are 1,192,000 cell phone subscribers in
Iraq and phone use has gone up 158%?
Did you know that Iraq has an independent media that consists of
75 radio stations, 180 newspapers and 10 television stations?
Did you know that the Baghdad Stock Exchange opened in June of
2004?
Did you know that 2 candidates in the Iraqi presidential
election had a televised debate recently?
OF COURSE WE DIDN'T KNOW!

WHY DIDN'T WE KNOW?
BECAUSE OUR MEDIA DOESN'T TELL US!
Instead of reflecting our love for our country, we get photos
of flag burn ing incidents at Abu Ghraib
and people throwing snowballs at the presidential motorcades.

Tragically, the lack of accentuating the positive in Iraq
serves two purposes:

It is intended to undermine the world's perception of the United
States thus minimizing consequent support,

and it is intended to discourage American citizens. Much of what
is on TV in our country today would have been thought of as treason
during WWII.

Above facts are all verifiable on the Department of Defense web
site.

cute story & freebie

Hi :D i am not sure if i got this story through emails or found it on the web somewhere but it is definitely worth sharing :D
Starfish
There was once a man who was walking down a deserted beach in a foreign country. As he
slowly walked along, he saw a native of that country coming toward him. As they drew nearer,
the visitor noticed that the local inhabitant would periodically stop, bend over, pick
something up, and then throw it into the ocean.

As they drew closer, the visitor realized that it was a starfish he was picking up and
throwing back into the water. When they were close enough to speak, the visitor asked the
man what he was doing. The local inhabitant responded that when the tide went out, it left
small pools of water which quickly evaporated. In each of those pools were starfish that
quickly died when the water was gone. He explained that when he found such a starfish, he
threw it back into the ocean.

The visitor seemed surprised, and said, “Sir, don’t you realize that, on this beach alone,
there must be thousands of starfish caught like this. You can’t possibly get to all of them.
There are just too many, and besides, this is probably happening on hundreds of beaches
all up and down the coast. With so many starfish, you can’t possibly be making a difference”.
The local citizen looked at the visitor for a moment, bent down, picked up a starfish, and,
throwing it into the ocean, said, “I made a difference to that one”.

i hope you enjoyed that, i sure did! :D
Onto the freebie1 YAYY! hehe

-It takes the food seven seconds to get from your mouth to your stomach.
-The average human dream lasts 2-3 seconds.
-Men without hair on their chests are more likely to get cirrhosis of the liver than men With hair.
-At the moment of conception, you spent about half an hour as a single cell.
-There is about one trillion bacteria on each of your feet.
-Your body gives off enough heat in 30 minutes to bring half a gallon of water to a boil.
-The enamel in your teeth is the hardest substance in your body.
-Your teeth start growing 6 months before you are born
-When you are looking at someone you love, your pupils dilate, and they do the same when you are looking at someone you hate.

Good Morning Sunshine!!

YES! we made it thru THREE nasty storms back to back!! Yay!! and the sun is back in full swing! WOOHOOO!! still only going to be about 60 degrees Farenheit today but it sure is better than before! We just had sustaining winds up to 50 mph and gusts up to 75-100 mph!! and RAIN! YUCK! and in the Sierra, they had the first blizzard there!! that area got 5 FEET of snow with these storms. that is just plain NUTS! i hope your weather is much better ;)
today i want to share another cool thing i got in an email, called Reflections, anyone of us could have penned this, later in life! :D i hope you enjoy!
REFLECTIONS

You know, time has a way of moving quickly and catching you unaware of the passing years.

It seems just yesterday that I was a young girl, just married and embarking on my new life with my husband. And yet in a way, it seems like eons ago, and I wonder where all the years went. I know that I lived them all...

And I have glimpses of how it was back then and of all my hopes and dreams... But, here it is...the winter of my life and it catches me by surprise...

How did I get here so fast? Where did the years go and where did my babies go? And where did my youth go?

I remember well... seeing older people through the years and thinking that those older people were years away from me and that winter was so far off that I could not fathom it or imagine fully what it would be like...

But, here it is...husband retired and he's really getting
gray...he moves slower and I see an older man now. He's in much better shape than me... but, I see the great change... Not the one I married who was dark and young and strong... but, like me, his age is beginning to show and we are now those older folks that we used to see and never thought we'd be.

Each day now, I find that just getting a shower is a real target for the day! And taking a nap is not a treat anymore...it's mandatory! Cause if I don't on my own free will...I just fall asleep where I sit!

And so, now I enter into this new season of my life unprepared for all the aches and pains and the loss of strength and ability to go and do things.

But, at least I know, that though the winter has come, and I'm not sure how long it will last...This I know, that when it's over... I will enjoy the Spring in the arms of my loving Father...and wait for my loved ones to come when their winter is over too.

So, if you're not in your winter yet...let me remind you, that it will be here faster than you think. So, whatever you would like to accomplish in your life please do it quickly!

For remember that scripture?...our life is but a vapor, it vanishes away... So, do what you can today, because you can never be sure whether this is your winter or not!

You have no promise that you will see all the seasons of your life...so, live for God today and say all the things that you want your loved ones to remember...

"Life is God's gift to you. The way you live your life is your gift to God. Make it a fantastic one."

LIVE IT WELL!!

Thanks for looking :D

Gotta love those emails!

Recieved this email from a friend (Thank you Kathy!) and thought the best way i could pass this on, was to post it! :D

Please take a moment to relax your mind and humble your heart to focus on Christ. Allow God to be the only person on your mind while you read this prayer. If we can take the time to read long jokes, stories, etc., we should give the same respect to this prayer.

Friends, who pray together, stay together.

Dear Lord, I thank you for this day. I thank You for my being able to see and to hear this day. I'm blessed because You are a forgiving God and an understanding God. You have done so much for me and You keep on blessing me. Forgive me this day for everything I have done, said or thought that was not pleasing to You. I ask now for Your forgiveness.

Please keep me safe from all danger and harm. Help me to start this day with a new attitude and plenty of gratitude. Let me make the best of each and every day to clear my mind so that I can hear from You.

Please broaden my mind that I can accept all things.

Let me not whine and whimper over things I have no control over. Let me continue to see sin through God's eyes and acknowledge it as evil. And when I sin, let me repent, and confess with my mouth my wrongdoing, and receive the forgiveness of God.

And when this world closes in on me, let me remember Jesus' example -- to slip away and find a quiet place to pray. It's the best response when I'm pushed beyond my limits. I know that when I can't pray, You listen to my heart. Continue to use me to do Your will.

Continue to bless me that I may be a blessing to others. Keep me strong that I may help the weak. Keep me uplifted that I may have words of encouragement for others. I pray for those who are lost and can't find their way. I pray for those who are misjudged and misunderstood. I pray for those who don't know You intimately. I pray for those who will delete this without sharing it with others. I pray for those who don't believe. But I thank You that I believe.

I believe that God changes people and God changes things. I pray for all my sisters and brothers. For each and every family member in their households. I pray for peace, love and joy in their homes, that they are out of debt and all their needs are met.

I pray that every eye that reads this knows there is no problem, circumstance, or situation greater than God. Every battle is in Your hands for You to fight. I pray that these words be received into the hearts of every eye that sees them and every mouth that confesses them willingly.

This is my prayer.

In Jesus' Name, Amen.

Don't ignore and God will bless you. Know that you are already blessed by the person who posted this for you.

'Friendship isn't about whom you have known the
longest; but about who came and never
left your side.'

my goodness, some days are like Christmas, just checking my emails lol

i also have a new kit i have been playing around with and it has no name yet.lol i was kind of thinking in the direction of "Spring in my step" or something like that but i am so not sure yet, it just seems to be lacking something, but here's a preview just the same :D
