i am back to share more goodies from that crazy little swapmeet. i did mean to take a picture or two, of the place to give you a better feel but i completely forgot, even though the camera was in the car!! OH AND i saw a white bunny in a cage (yes it was alive!! probably for sale) with BLUE eyes! i wished i'd gotten a pic of that cause i NEVER saw that before! it was really both BEAUTIFUL & eery! lol
ANYWAYS....
These FUN little goodies were a total of 75 cents! i don't know what kind of stone that is, but that abalone piece has the most colors i ever saw in them!
Another pair of gloves for a buck!!
OH and who doesn't need a plush boa (for a buck!!)?! hehe
My sweetie bargained the vendor from a ten dollar price to 6.50 for this nice hunk of crystal!
And these shooter marble size balls of glass were a buck total, for all three. i got them because recently the one gem vendor there told us a story about how years ago glass was shipped this way, in these big marble sized balls, so they didn't break as quick and it was just easier to ship and work with in this size, so that day, after he told the story, i knew i would come across them and would pick a few up. they will look so PRETTY in a little shallow dish, in the sunroom! :)
Some more jewelry i got at a bargain, of course! :) i LOVE that abalone pin!
And finally (WHEW! that's enough, huh? lol) this little purse for a buck!
That's pretty much ALL we brought home from that trip! hehe When we went today, Sunday (mostly a social thing, when Saturday is for bargains! lol) The vendor we get our books from called us over to tell us to take WHATEVER books we wanted, to save HIS back from putting them all away again! LOL Well, YOU don't have to tell me twice! hehe Believe me, it was AS MUCH FUN as rock hunting was!! going through all those boxes was such a BLAST, finding treasures of ALL kinds! We brought home TWO boxes (i think there was 70 total! LOL)
But here are a few that we got YESTERDAY for the 50cent price!
oh My GOODNESS that Herb Bible is FANTASTIC!! i got a chance to look through that one, as well as, the America's Hidden Corners one! oh we went a little nuts on them today but there is a used bookstore in town, where if you take books in to him and he accepts them for resale, he will give you store credit... and a few i got for my sister and BIL too. i know my BIL is really into war books and when i came across one today, i stacked it aside! :)
Also at the swapmeet today, one vendor had a few tables full of cookbooks. i found one i liked and went to pay for it and was told the books are THREE for a dollar! WOOHOO! lol So here are my 3!!
Today DH was outside getting the one garden all PRETTY, it was too windy to work outside for me. Warm, but windy!
Well, i hope you enjoyed shopping with me cause i sure enjoyed your company! :) i LOVE your visits and thank you so much for sharing this time! Have a FANTASTIC evening and i will see you in the morning!! :) HUGS!

Good Morning Shirley:)
You sure don't let the grass grow under your feet.hehe..look at all those goodies!!!:)
I haven't been thrift storing for a week or two now.I am getting withdraws.LOL
Do you use the cookbooks you collect? I use to collect recipes and books and hardly ever used them.:)I keep intending to though.Does that count?LOL
You sure got a bargain with your book collection..how cool!:)
Do you collect shoes to go with your many purses?:)My Mom use to collect shoes and I would wonder why she needed soooo many. Her closet was mostly shoes.LOL My MIL collected purses and shoes and when she decided to clean her closet out and take some things to the thrift store..she actually had several purses with the original paper stuffing still in them. Now that's a bargain!!:)I think she took about six garbage bags of clothes she had outgrown and purses and shoes ...etc.Everything was in such great shape.Too bad she is smaller than me.hehe
Have a fantastic day!
Hugs,
Valinda
Those books sure look interesting!
You did great all the way around. I wish we had a swapmeet here. It's very difficult to find vintage beads out here for my earrings but the good news is, someone is opening up a "classy junk" store (the old one shut down) soon! Yay!
Kewl swapmeet finds Shirley - looks like you had another great adventure - So love looking at all your finds -They are awesome. Just stopping in - ready for our walk - no wind today - amen!
Hugs and take care now
Robbi and Mike
Hi Shirley, just had to stop ain and say Hi and check out all your goodies this week. You did make out like a bandit on your books, didn't you!
We don't have many swapmeet around here, but I do hit the garage sales when they startm which should be soon!
book, shoes and purses are my downfall! We don't talk about all the old stuff theat I used to collect- oil lamps, wooden bowls--pottery and I could keep going forever. I still have a ton of oil lamps, Marshal pottery and I won't get rid of that for a long time yet.
You have a great day and I hope you hear from your grandson and his mother so that you know that they are alright. It seems that the river has dropped some and the sandbagging has held, but we're wcpecting this huge snowstorm to some in some time today or tonight- it will be west of us, so we won't get it , but those that really don't need it . will probably be getting it.
Hugs Donna
