Rocks from Garnet Hill

Good evening! :) i finally got some photos of the rocks DH got from his excursion with the Rock Club, this past Saturday! Even when we were at another meeting this past Wednesday night, we didn't take samples cause it was nothing spectacular, BUT it was FUN for him finding anything! hehe
He liked this big quartzy type stone.

And just another big rock to place around the house somewhere!:)

This layered one caught his eye.

And this rock which was shaped by the wind blowing. Now just this last meeting they mentioned what that was called, but i don't remember the name. i am surely taking a pad and pen next month for the meeting to take some notes! :)

Next is a little variety of the stones one could find easily there.

The next TWO are samples of muscovite which he was told is the gold flecks on the rocks. i would have just thought it was pyrite but we ARE learning! :)

He did find a few small pieces of raw garnet, but i didn't yet get a decent photo of them! hehe they are tricky but i will succeed! :)
Until then i do have a nice Springy photo for you to enjoy!

Those baby bunnies are adorable. We have some nearby on the campus and the poor things, you can walk right up to them, they do not know to run yet. Maybe Mama Rabbit has taught them to stay still! We give them apple slices and iceberg lettuce.

Your rocks look great! What a variety!
