Good Morning!

i tried to blog yesterday but even photobucket wasn't playing nice so i waited it out in order to avoid frustrations, but i am back with more bargains!! WOOHOO! lol
Like this terra cotta water can i recently found for a buck!!

i LOVE this ceramic skull...i was sooo GLAD when i picked it up and it was NOT bone! :)

Most of these items i paid only a buck for, at some point in past recent weeks, like this metal tree trunk.

i LOVE these two books we recently found too!! Right up our alley!! hehe

This little turkey basket was free with purchase of a glass display case that DH bought.

i LA LA LOVE when we come across these!! this one was only four dollars!!

This LOVELY, red comforter set was only five!!

This purse was only a quarter!!

We also recently went to a car show and this candle cart was the only thing i bought. it was a steal at only five! Notice the little hanging dish for melting smelly good stuff! :D

This salt and pepper set and little sleeping figure were only fifty cents each.

The same price for this sweater and skirt too.

Recent bargains

Good evening! i am back with some recent bargains!! YAYY!!! And yes, there are more PURSES!! lol
Like this COOL fur/suede one, i recently found for a dollar!

This Asian dress looked soooo comfy and the price was sure right at three dollars!

i could hardly resist this little cookie cutter.

i thought of my sister, when i got this little kitty teapot for a dollar.

i LOVE this little cactus family set too!

And who doesn't like to find nice clothing cheap? hehe

the last thing i have to share, that we recently found is this AWESOME box of rocks, numbered and identified already!!

i will keep posting a few each time, because we always seem to find such FUN things, but i also wanted to show this old radio/recorder that DH got for free, just for hauling this heavy thing away! He commented how cool it would be to refinish it as a cabinet and the lady said "TAKE it PLEASE!" lol

The coolest thing about this is the recorder.

it recorded VINYLS!!! how COOL is that! i never even dreamed that they had home versions of them!!

And then in the lower section, on both sides, was storage!

i have also started an old craft that i did back in the late 70's/early 80's... it's called quilling, have you heard of it? It's a paper rolling art/craft, in which you can make just about anything you can imagine...like miniature "wicker" furniture.


here i switched out the flowers and "coat rack/plant holder".

Calico Mountain collection

Good evening! :D i totally apologize for my delay as i needed time to transfer things around onto this computer so i can share photos! sheesh where is my new hard drive, already????????? lol Anyways, here are some of the rocks we collected this week in Calico Mtns. it was honestly so much FUN!
Dendrite- A mineral crystallizing in another mineral in the form of a branching or treelike mark.

This is a COOL piece that DH found and when the club's Treasurer saw it, he almost dropped his jaw, it is so nice. lol it almost looks like part of a crystal geode.

Selenite-Gypsum in the form of colorless clear crystals.

These next stones, i believe are a variety of tuff-A rock composed of compacted volcanic ash varying in size from fine sand to coarse gravel.

this is another piece of selenite i believe, it could be some of the ulexite we also found, i have to do more research on it. :)

The next few pieces are rhyolite-A fine-grained extrusive volcanic rock, similar to granite in composition and usually exhibiting flow lines



Another type of agate-A fine-grained, fibrous variety of chalcedony with colored bands or irregular clouding.

i thought this next one might be onyx but i haven't yet found out for sure.

the next two photos are the same rock, which i believe to be a plum agate.

this almost looks like a crystal though.

So i come back with a TON of rock and so much knowledged shared that half is forgotten.... i must use a pen & paper next time and take notes!!! it is such a BLAST though going out with the club and this time was a record breaking TEN vehicles and 21 people! :D

just popping in to say hi and let you know what's been going on.
well, i didn't get my computer fixed yet (insert sad face) but can use DH's til we can afford to have someone put in a new hard drive, that is, when he isn't on. lol
i was also down for 10 days on tylenol with codiene, for my shoulder muscle (that pain was going up into my neck muscle). the pills seemed to help it relax enough that i am hoping i won't need shots like the ones that i had in the back, last year.
DS has been home with a cold, thankfully it wasn't the flu, this early in the season, but it was bad enough that he needed a couple of days to recoup.
Today was an AWESOME but long day for DH and i, as we went rockhunting with the club. this is the first time ALOT of us caravaned out together. we went to the Calico Mountains, by Barstow and the Calico Ghost town. We mostly found selenite and rhyolite but we had so much FUN (pictures will follow soon). it was a LONG and tiring day as we left 8am and after four stops to rock hunt, we were home by 6:30pm! yep, a VERY L-O-N-G day!! Hope you have been having a BEAUTIFUL fall season as we get closer and closer to Halloween already! big HUGS!!! see ya tomorrow!! :D

more clouds and update!

Good evening! i have to aplogize for not getting back sooner and i am sorry to say, that i am still working with my damaged hard drive! (insert sad face) i PRAY that i get this thing serviced for my birthday and will surely be making that wish KNOWN! hehe
i wanted to share some more of those crazy clouds...

oh i almost forgot about the Gem show!! We did pretty good and were surprised that anything sold! the FUNNEST thing we sold were dollar grab bags where we had crystals, rose quartz, amethyst or apache tears sold separately. next year i think i will combine them and REALLY make good dollar bags! hehe
i got so many nice comments on our jewelry too and the BEST was when a young boy bought a necklace for his mom!!! i LOVED witnessing that one as DH handled it! We also recruited ALOT of new members for the Rock club too! it will be really interesting to see how many show up next wednesday for the October meeting! :D
This weekend it got pretty chilly too!!!! went from quite warm (like 90 degrees) to maybe a high of 70!! and WINDY too!! that really was NOT FUN dealing with but the customers just kept coming!! :D
and the reason i haven't been back as soon as i hoped is because now my shoulder muscle is acing up with pain!!! i am going to see a dr tomorrow about it and ask why the muscles on my entire right side, are acing up like this.... they get contracted and don't relax!!! this will be the first time with this doc since mine retired at the end of august. AND this doctor is ONLY at this office two days a week AND ONLY the afternoons of those two days!!!! unbelievable, huh?!
