Recent bargains

Good evening! i am back with some recent bargains!! YAYY!!! And yes, there are more PURSES!! lol
Like this COOL fur/suede one, i recently found for a dollar!
Photobucket
This Asian dress looked soooo comfy and the price was sure right at three dollars!
Photobucket
i could hardly resist this little cookie cutter.
Photobucket
i thought of my sister, when i got this little kitty teapot for a dollar.
Photobucket
i LOVE this little cactus family set too!
Photobucket
And who doesn't like to find nice clothing cheap? hehe
Photobucket
the last thing i have to share, that we recently found is this AWESOME box of rocks, numbered and identified already!!
Photobucket
i will keep posting a few each time, because we always seem to find such FUN things, but i also wanted to show this old radio/recorder that DH got for free, just for hauling this heavy thing away! He commented how cool it would be to refinish it as a cabinet and the lady said "TAKE it PLEASE!" lol
Photobucket
The coolest thing about this is the recorder.
Photobucket
it recorded VINYLS!!! how COOL is that! i never even dreamed that they had home versions of them!!
Here is the radio and record playing part.
Photobucket
And then in the lower section, on both sides, was storage!
Photobucket
i have also started an old craft that i did back in the late 70's/early 80's... it's called quilling, have you heard of it? It's a paper rolling art/craft, in which you can make just about anything you can imagine...like miniature "wicker" furniture.
Photobucket
Photobucket
here i switched out the flowers and "coat rack/plant holder".
Photobucket
i would LOVE to know what you think! :)
on that note, i am off to visit some of you. big HUGS and thank you for stopping by! :D Have a BEAUTIFUL evening!

Oh my dear, I used to do quilling, too! I had a special little tool, too! I started when I was perhaps 12 -- that makes it almost 40 years ago! I kept it up until the early 1980s...I have never seen such creative work as yours!!! I'm in awe. I just made Christmas ornaments and Easter Ornaments.

LOVE your bargains!!! ESPECIALLY the purse!!! And those rocks rock!

HI SHIRLEY,

Ummm, do you SLEEP at night? You have SO many wonderful interests and talents. The rolled paper craft is truly amazing. It must take a great deal of patience. I have never seen this before, so thanks for sharing.

ALL of your purchases are terrific - I would have been elbow to elbow with you at those sales haha! The tops look SOOOO pretty, will we get to see you modelling some of these? I bet your wardrobe is STUFFED with magically beautiful items.

I loved coming along with you to see your purchases.

Have a happy day - no options on that command, ok?

Love, Barb

Good Afternoon Shirley:)
It is soo good to see you back and showing off your terrific finds!!:) Yay for our hubby's puters!!LOL There have been plenty of times I have had to use my DH's.Just recently too..had to reformat my hard drive.:(
I know what quilling is.I have never tried it myself..but Christy has and I have seen them used in paper scrapping.:) Your wicker furniture looks soo COOL.Did you spray it with some finisher or something to preserve the shape etc? I can see a doll house coming pretty soon.:) Might be something to look for in your wanderings through the flea markets.:) I recently went to some thrift stores with my Mom and sister. They were looking for toddler clothes for my great niece. We found some almost like new ones for a couple of dollars a piece. Can't beat that. Some were Oshkosh too!whoo hoo!LOL I would love to have gone "shopping" with you and Mrs.Miles.That would be a blast!:)
Please be sure to record (take pics) of your Dh's refinishing progress.I bet that radio/recorder will turn into a BEAUTY!:)
Hope you have a fantastic day and will stop by to say hi when you get a chance.:)

Hugs,
Valinda
