We had to make another appointment for Coco, with the vet, and are not too happy about it. He needed his anal glands expressed (sorry, if you are having breakfast) and they said something about it being almost impacted and so we naturally "assumed" (i hate that word!) that they took care of it for him! i mean, who would leave the dog with impacted anything!?? And this is the first time we ever even heard about these things, that need attention!! And the money we paid surely ASSURED us that it was taken care of, until we get him home and he STILL seems bothered by his back end!! so we give a day or two thinking that it was irritated and may still bother him a bit and this week passes. Today he just seemed SOOOOOOOO bothered by his back end that he didn't even want to lay with us, he laid in the bathroom entryway! and when he is out with us, he has his nose in the back end!!!!! so we called and expressed our feelings OBVIOUSLY MUCH BETTER than they did his glands and we have to wait til Monday morning before they could see my poor little guy!!
Needless to say, i was a bit on the depressed side today even though the quail came by, for quite a LONG time today, and tried to lift my spirits.
i did manage to get a few pretty nice pictures of them! Hope you enjoy! :)
The mama is resting under the tree, with a few of her babies!
Papa crossed our front area to our mesquite tree and here some babies follow! they are already starting to look like little adults! hehe
here mama makes it over safely.

I know it's very depressing when one of our pets is uncomfortable -- darn those vets! Ours are good-hearted but do goof now and again...they also goofed on one dog's hind-end troubles and she had to go back several times...I think the helpers were supposed to be doing it but couldn't and finally the vet took over and voila, it was done...
We had a big storm last night too! It came out of nowhere! I was very glad for the rain, because my pumpkins are not growing at all but maybe now they will.
I love the quail! I love how they run, it's like they are windup toys!!!
STAY AS COOL AS YOU CAN!!! These temps are crazy!
