When it rains!

Good evening my bloggie friends! i hope you are having a WONDERFUL weekend!
Ours started out rainy! actually its been raining in the area for several days now but finally
hit this area... on a SATURDAY MORNING of all things!! No swapmeet this morning but we did
have an adventure of sorts.
First let me share with you a new unidentified rock DH got me at the Rock Club, during the swap.
cool blue stone
and the rough side
cool blue stone rough side
It's a BEAUTY! i am anxious to find out what it is!
The Rock Club was Wednesday night!
Now this morning, we awoke to a dreary morn!!
no swapmeet saturday
rainy weekend morning
rainy morn
Not so pretty! so we take DS to work and have a nice breakfast (if DS got up earlier, we would all have breakfast together but that'd be too early according to him)
On the way home from there, we suddenly hear something go wrong with the suv.... a flat! GREAT!
We pull over to the first SAFE spot (avoiding the WET soft shoulder) and i was so uneasy about where we stopped!
no place to change a tire
After DH put everything from the back of the vehicle to the back seat (notice pile of stuff)
he pulls out all he needs to get the spare on.
This is what the tire looked like that he took off!
got a spare?
i NEVER saw a tire do that!
Well we got home about a half hour later but safe & sound! And dry, oddly enough the rain let up just long enough for DH to change that tire and just as he finished up it slowly started again. Thank you Lord! Luckily he had a blanket in the car so he didn't have to lay on the wet ground too! ;D
And finally when we got home, i worried that we might not have much as far as Tv, radio or internet since we have satelite and it was THICK with clouds!! but we were lucky there too!!
Well that was my Saturday! i hope yours was MUCH better! hehe
Thanks so much for your visit and i LOVE the comments too! :D Hope to see you in the morning!
Have a WARM & COZY evening! HUGS! :D

Wow to a few things Mizz Shirley!

LOVE the rock. DH did work for the USFS cleaning up some mine waste in the mountains outside Yellowstone. He was always finding some pretty cool ones. My nephew is quite a little collector as well. I found one once that was gray and black and looked like a profile of Mickey Mouse. I sent it to him. Recently I received some music boxes from someone at Freecycle - in it was a great crystal type of rock... I will have to shoot some photos and post them for you. We had a foggy mornng, but the sun came out later and it was beautiful...
... and finally WOW - that tire sure took the heat "litterally" Lucky DH was there to change it.

I love stopping by - thanks for the good read!

BEAUTIFUL...BEAUTIFUL ROCK.....
I AM SO SORRY ABOUT YOUR FLAT TIRE.
SATURDAY WAS A BEAUTIFUL DAY HERE.....THE SUN WAS SHINING...MY MOTHER CAME AND TOOK ME FOR LUNCH...AND THEN TO THE THRIFT SHOP....IT IS MY FIRST OUTING OUT EXCEPT FOR DRS. APPOINTMENTS SINCE CHRISTMAS DAY...I FELT LIKE I HAD BEEN LET OUT OF PRISON....I HAD THE TIME OF MY LIFE. MY MOTHER EVEN PAID FOR MY FEW PURCHASES......I WAS TRULY BLESSED.....THEN TODAY WE HAD LUNCH WITH MOTHER, DADDY, MY BROTHER, HUSBAND, AND MY DAUGHTER......SHE HAS STAYED AT HER OWN HOUSE FOR ABOUT A WEEK NOW AND I KNOW IT FEELS GOOD TO HER TO HAVE SOME OF HER INDEPENDENCE BACK.
WE ARE SUPPOSE TO GET RAIN TOMORROW AND I BELIEVE IT BASED ESPECIALLY ON MY CATS BEHAVIOR.
MY SISTER HAD RAIN IN PHOENIX ON SATURDAY AND WE USUALLY GET IT 2 DAYS LATER
HUGS

Honey save that tire, it looks defective to me, and you ought to get yer money back for it. NO TIRE ought to explode like that!!!

Your rock is very pretty, I love the light blue vein in it.
