It never rains in California, but MAN it pours!!

And snows and sleets and sheesh!! hehe
It is still rainy here, which is not usual, even for OUR winters! :D This should bring LOTS of BEAUTIFUL Spring flowers soon!

Do you have leaning trees where you live? hehe It's from the winds blowing so much!
Then Sunday morning, we tried the swapmeet again. Got a good deal at one stand and pretty much
left as it was blowing FREEZING winds!
All these items were 50 cents each, can hardly beat that! hehe
This is a clay boot that stands about 9 inches.

Here's another boot, but it's only about 3 inches.

your scenery looks alot like out in the desert by phoenix where my sister lives.
i have to admit i love chickens and roosters but that turtle is the cutest thing i have ever seen...has the sweetest face with a twist of orneriness.....
i am so sorry for your sister...we will lift her up in prayer and think positive thoughts....don't let anyone around her with a negative attitude.......and laughter is very important...if she has been through this you know....amy's first cancer she was 10 1/2years old...they didn't give her 2 months....almost 4 years later it was gone....now she is 32 and had cancer again...a different cancer...same thing they wouldn't give her 2 months....this one was a bit tricky...it was the neck, throat and tongue and right jaw....a dentist who kept putting her off very well almost cost her life...they theorize it had been growing for 6 weeks and it was already stage 4....GOD IS BIGGER THAN any cancer...and the only reason i mention amy is to bring hope to those that need it............

Yes we have bent trees like that too. But not with freezing wind, ours are HOT. You´re right, you are having weird weather too. I guess we have to live with it...
Like your deals you got at the swapmeet.

Wow, these sky pictures are amazing. We don't have leaning trees here, just snowy and icy ones. Gee that one photo of the cloud looming over the mountains looks like it should be in a movie.

Great photos, I felt like I was there.

HI Shirley - soooo sorry I've been lax at visiting. Forgive me, my friend.

You know I am in AWE of your vista. Mr. Miles always says his dream is to live with a veiw like yours. Do you get a cactus bloom where you are? Our other dream is to come on a spring break sometime and catch that. WOW AND WOW!

I hope your weather improves!

PS - was watching on a National Geographic cd how those cactus suck up every little BIT of that rain!

Have a gread day!

Love, Barb

Hi Shirley,

Great post - and yet more fun finds... Where do you put all the finds? We have a few "leaning trees" although we have one fewer currently. We have the really TALL pines. We had one that was leaning pretty good - but looked like the top had started to straighten out toward the sky. About a month ago, we had alot of snow. It was cold, so the snow stayed in the trees, and the poor old guy could not take it. It snapped about 30 feet from the ground. More firewood!

It is always sad when we loose the big ones. Most of ours are at least 90 - 100 feet tall.

Have a great day - an stay warm... We already have the fire going today... BRRRR

hugs,

eila
