Super Bowl & Blog Trains!

Good morning to you! i hope you had a WONDERFUL weekend and your Super Bowl team won! :D
here is OUR little spread for the game!
SuperBowlSunday09
Don't you just LOVE that sports fabric!?! you KNOW i got it cheap at the swapmeet! :D
Oh my goodness, yesterday morning when we went downtown, we pulled up to a light and there was
this small 'convoy' for lack of a better word. i got a picture of my husband and the guy next
to us just ending their waves to each other. lol
feb 1 2009
But just LOOK at that machinery!!! SHEESH!
Then we do our errands in town and get ready for home and we see an even BIGGER 'convoy' gathering
in one spot before heading on the move.
the gathering
really readying!
and this close up:
readying for manuvers
i am not sure what all those things do but they sure look like they could go ANYWHERE!
Now we do have the world's largest Marine base in a nearby town, WHICH is so large that it
extends to JUST NOT FAR from behind our home. YES! Where they do bombings and i understand that
it is the ONLY school in the world for these kind of bomb forensics, so they can piece
together crime scenes, like the suicide bombers they have to deal with mostly overseas. So,
naturally, we expected to hear ALOT of bombings during the game but it was quiet & i have NO clue where
they went, but it wasn't in my little town! hehe Oh they can start bombings at 9 or 10pm and go
for hours!! or how about 7am and go ALL DAY LONG? hehe yea it sure takes getting use to, so i am told!
We've been here 5 years and are not QUITE use to it! But we sure understand it! :D
Anyways, back to blog land, i found TWO more blog trains and you can check them out:
Amethyst Blog Train
and
Blog Train
Well, that's it for me, i hope you have a BEAUTIFUL day and thank you so very much for visiting!!
HUGS! :D

Those tanks are pretty SCARY looking - so glad they are not a part of our everyday life. Thank the Lord.

Thanks for your visits, Shirley - you are a constant encouragement in my life.

GOOD GRIEF...I THOUGHT YOU LEFT THE SUPER BOWL FOOD TABLE AND WENT TO IRAQ...THOSE THINGS ARE SCAREY...
YOU PROBABLY DIDN'T HEAR THEM DURING THE SUPERBOWL BECAUSE THEY WERE WATCHING THE SUPERBOWL...LOL
THERE IS NO TIME FOR BOMBING DURING A SUPERBOWL......
I PRAY FAITHFULLY FOR OUR SOLDIERS...
WE ARE IN THE FLIGHT PATH OF OUR AIR FORCE BASE AND WHEN THEY WIND UP THE ENGINES IT IS LIKE A TRAIN COMING THROUGH THE BEDROOM...I HOPE THEY DON'T DROP ANY BOMBS
BUT IF YOU WERE NOT UNDER THE GRANDFATHER CLAUSE OF THE CITY...IF IT IS IN THE FLIGHT PLAN OF THE BASE YOU CANNOT BUILD OR HAVE ANY BUSINESS THAT OCCUPIES MORE THAN 50 PEOPLE AT ONE TIME.....
THANKS FOR SHOWING THE PICTURES
I WAS REALLY HOPING THE PHOENIX CARDINALS WOULD HAVE WON...I'M FOR THE UNDERDOG AND HEY THEY DIDN'T PLAY SHAMEFUL AND THE STEELERS BEAT THEM THIS IS TRUE....BUT THEY ALMOST LOST AT ONE TIME...BUT THAT IS WHAT MAKES THE WINNER...THEY PULL IT OFF AT THE END...
BLESSINGS

Good Morning again Shirley:)
I have been a busy bee this week and wasn't able to get back here until now.
Look at all those goodies you got from the swap meet!!:)How cool! I had yard ornaments too..some really cute ones..but they got broken.:( One time I asked Jim to clean one of them with the pressure washer.(it had gotten mold on it from being wet). The pressure from the washer knocked it over and broke it in half.LOL I still have a few in my front yard though.Ducks..turtles..frogs..etc.:)
I am not sure I could get use to living that close to all that noise.I am a light sleeper and usually the slightest noise will wake me up.How do you get use to something like that?? Just get so tired..you pass out and don't hear anything???LOL
I too..love your Super Bowl table! Great idea with the cloth!!:) I was rooting for the underdog and wasn't really disappointed in their performance either. They did great even though they didn't win.:)
Have a wonderful weekend!!:)

Hugs,
Valinda
