Watches get a new life!

Good morning! :) Has it cooled down at all, where you live? it sure hasn't by much, here!! Still is in the high 90's but i guess that's better than anything over 100! lol
Well, this past weekend, DH & i got some of my watches working! sounds exciting, no? hehe
Well, over the years, from going to the swapmeet, i have accumulated quite a few watches that we got for next to nothing! No surprise there, right? hehe We also got this huge package of watch batteries for just a buck and it really came in handy finally! lol

we got ALL these going and now i have a WONDERFUL choice!

And only TWO from this group, we couldn't get working! how FUN!! :)

more FuN bargains!

Good evening!! i hope you had a WONDERFUL Monday and a GREAT start to the new week! :)
i have returned with more photos uploaded and ready to share! like i said in my previous post, we didn't pay more than two dollars for anything and less for most!! lol
Just like the hat in my last post, this wire wreath will look FAB by the garden, next year!! :)

i LOVE this abalone bird, for only a dollar!!! :D

this bone china cake server went RIGHT into the hutch, for safe keeping!

what girl doesn't need a NEW purse? lol

it will be nice to use NEW stockings this Christmas!

i am not sure where DH will wind up putting this, but he REALLy liked it! :)

i had such FUN when i got home with these place mats and realized that i have a table runner that matches these PERFECTLY!

Also realized i have another one of these too!! lol

i don't know what attracts me to these baskets around bottles is, but i LOVE 'em!!

this book is about all kinds of fruits and veggies!!

The rest of the stuff we got this weekend, were a bit costlier but well worth the prices we paid!!
like this standing mirror for five dollars!! B-A-R-G-A-I-N!!

this rug for the same price as the mirror, went in our kitchen area!!

this clock was only three dollar and has a candle holder that is cut off at the top.

The first thing i noticed about this elephant were the leather ears. i asked how much it was and paid the three dollars. it wasn't until i got it home, when i realized it is ALLLLLL leather!!!

Last but not least, we got these AWESOME cast iron western wall pieces for ten dollars. the steer and horse:

AND two cowboy boots!!

And the last things i want to share tonight, is

2.)one of my pincushion hats that i have done so far!! :)

they are so easy and FUN to make, i will share a simple tutorial, if you'd like! :)

i WON & some Saturday bargains too!

Good evening!! i sure hope you had a WONDERFUL weekend! Ours went WAYYY to quickly! hehe
i recently won a $15.00 Walmart gift card from HappyBird's Crafting Haven , Thank You SOOOOO MUCH!
Here is the card that congratulated me and had the gift card inside. It's so PRETTY!

And i was so HAPPY to be able to shop GUILT FREE, that i could hardly wait to get to the craft department!! WOHOOO!!! Me, being an old craft manager for a few years, MISS crafting!!! So i decided, since i dont have much room to work here, i could work with some hats i use to make into fridge magnets, only make them a little bigger for pin cushions! So i got flowers and ribbons to work with!!

will post results at a later time this week! :)
Also, our rockhound buddy stopped in for a visit to share a rock with me that he recently found locally... can you see the aquamarine there?

It's so very COOL!!
And of course there are some Saturday bargains too! :) everything we got was $2.00 or cheaper!! lol Don't ya just LOVE it? :)

This isn't a purse, really!! it's a CLUTCH! LOL but it is soooo elegant!!

This poinsettia bowl will be PERFECT this year!

i just LOVE this bee and he will LOVE to hang around the garden also!!

for a pretty display. i did JUST that! hehe :)
i used nail polish and think it turned out pretty cool! :)

new Saturday bargains!!

Sheesh! has it been almost a week since i last blogged? sorry, but it's been a week, for sure, not a great week but one i am happy is done! hehe AND guess what? i got more bargains!! YAYY! lol
This morning at our local breakfast place, we saw this pull into the lot! i was really happy to see it still there when we left and i got this photo!!

How FUN does that look?!! lol i have no clue how much the guy wanted, but we later saw him parked in a auto parts store lot and then DS said he sat over at Walmart awhile too, today! lol
Anywayss, we bought this little carafe set for a buck! LOVE the color!!

oh and check out this CUTE nutcracker dish, for a buck!

it looks like a big nut! hehe CLEVER!!

i could hardly resist this vase even though it was five bucks!

These baking cups were only a quarter!!

i ADORE these cookie cutters, for only a quarter!

Then we got to the bookman's stand and i found these fans for a buck each!

And when i asked how much for this book, he told me it was free today! lol How nice!!

DH and i are about halfway through this book already, its really quite cute.
i, also found this anklet for a buck!

And this bracelet for a buck! i LOVE how delicate they both are!

This clip was only fifty cent! i had to ask the vendor if she knew what it was for since i now have 3 or 4 of them!lol she told me if i wear a scarf or little wraparound over my swimsuit. how COOL! :)

it just dawned on me, that i give DH really nice fabric for the photos he takes for ebay and i just realized that I use a wrinkled plastic bag for mine!! LOL
Do you recognize this next item that i got for fifty cents??

it's a travel cup!!! i remember my mom taking these on OUR trips when i was young!!

This little owl was only half a dollar too!

Finally, i got this cute little visor for fifty cents, too!!

And since the hats were so chea.... er i mean inexpensive, hehe, i bought this straw one too, for fifty cents and wore it right away! When we got home, DH asks for the camera and tells me to hold still! LOL

i crack meself up!! lol
Then we stopped at a yard sale, on our way home and i only got this little enamel pin for a quarter!

ANYWAYSsss i hope you enjoyed these bargains! it's ALWAYS fun finding them! i promise to not take so long to blog! :) Tomorrow we are headed for the third and final Rockhounder's picnic before we get back to the meetings again! we have been looking forward to seeing this member's rock collection! :) Then next month, we get back to meetings instead of picnics. i hope it's not unbearably hot since the picnic doesn't start til one. i also look forward to getting back home and getting to visit you!! :) Thanks so very much for sharing this time!
