Watches get a new life!

Good morning! :) Has it cooled down at all, where you live? it sure hasn't by much, here!! Still is in the high 90's but i guess that's better than anything over 100! lol
Well, this past weekend, DH & i got some of my watches working! sounds exciting, no? hehe
Well, over the years, from going to the swapmeet, i have accumulated quite a few watches that we got for next to nothing! No surprise there, right? hehe We also got this huge package of watch batteries for just a buck and it really came in handy finally! lol

Hi Shirley,

BLESS your husband for doing this. My husband has several watches that need tending to as well. Every once in a while we say "we should..." but you know how it is.

Remember how it used to be like this with camere film, before digital... there would always be those rolls tucked away in a drawer, that after they started to add up $$$ we would say "one day we will..." and then when we finally did it was always a suprise what was on that film? And how many were BLANKS or shots of the ground etc. hahahah...

Thanks for twigging my memory. And for sharing your good buys.

ALWAYS love coming to visit you here!

PS - I hope to post a couple of my buys soon too!

Love, Barb

Oh Shirley, you got a bargain there. Those batteries many times cost way more than a new watch. How wonderful to get all of those ticking away merrily!

I always have to be checking my watch...LOL...now I check the cell phone WHILE wearing a watch...tee hee..keep comparing the time...LOL...

P.S. I can't quite see...is that a ring watch or a bracelet watch in the back??? How unique!
