local National Park

Good evening! i hope this night finds you well! :) i am here to share with you, some photos taken at the Joshua Tree National Park!
this is just some of the BEAUTY of the mountains and Joshua Trees!
Photobucket
here too, althought some people just don't see it.
Photobucket
this was taken at a spot called Quail Springs. just look at how big those boulders are!
Photobucket
Right now, it is the off season for most activities done with the Park Rangers, but this is one of the spots where they will teach you rock-climbing!
Photobucket
That's what this sign is telling us... how the Rangers will teach you safely!
Photobucket
Check out the size of this boulder!!
Photobucket
Here is another place where, in the Fall, Spring and Winter, the Rangers will teach safe Rock Climbing!
Photobucket
i just LOVE the view!
Photobucket
the arrows, in this photo, show where the sign is indicating the ACTUAL San Andreas Fault Line!!!
Photobucket
and from there, we trek higher still!!
Photobucket
Out there is Coachella Valley!
Photobucket
this sign shows where Palm Springs is located and other particulars of the Valley.
Photobucket
just me! :)
Photobucket
this photo asks "what is wrong with this view?" the answer is haze, which is from pollutions!
Photobucket
but it's still quite a STUNNING view!
Photobucket
my sweetie sure liked it!!
Photobucket
Then a couple from Los Angeles, asked us to take their picture and offered to take ours too! :)
Photobucket
WAYYYYYYYYyy down there is the parking lot and our Explorer!! hehe
Photobucket
Once i am down, of course, i take a photo showing all the way UP! lol
Photobucket
And last but not least, tonight, check out this rock and how it is PERFECTLY balanced!!
Photobucket
i have a few more to share with you, tomorrow so i hope you stop by! Thank you so VERY much for sharing this time together!! HUGS!! i will see you in the morn! ;)

First grapes & LOVELY home!

Good evening! i hope you are enjoying this evening! i am soo very excited to share with you tonight a couple of photos of our grapes! Now you may think, "oh well, they are JUST grapes!" but these are the first grapes we EVER grew ourselves!! i think next year, they may even be better since this is only the second year of the vine!
yummy grapes
they are a bit on the puny size but they really are SWEET already!! YAYY!! :)
first of our grapes
i remember when i was a young girl, my parents were friends with someone who had a well established grapevine, with a bench underneath and i would sit there and just dig on the aroma that filled the air!! :)
Oh here are some of the photos of that COOL house that had the yard sale this weekend!
here is a picture from under the covered porch, showing the open air porch on the left!!
Photobucket
and on the right is this wall.
Photobucket
The woman running the yard sale was happy to share the story of her father, who built the home! He moved there in his 60's (i think she said he was 63 or 67) and for 12 years, he just built and built and built on the ten acres there.
He built these impressive mortared walls everywhere! as islands, around trees out in back of the home.
Photobucket
and walls up to the second floor.
Photobucket
up to and sided with gates.
Photobucket
EVERYWHERE! and it was HEAVEN!
Photobucket
here is the home itself, with it's MORE than six car garages!!
Photobucket
i say more than, cause each garage was at least two cars deep in!! this place was AWESOME with trees all over!
Photobucket
and wishing wells.
Photobucket
along the driveway too!
Photobucket
And as much as we didn't EVER want to leave, time to go was all too soon but we saw this on the way out! i don't think it was a part of the home we were at's property but these buildings were COOL just the same!
Photobucket
we also saw this place, which also seemed abandoned (there are certainly plenty of those out here!! abandoned homes all over!)
Photobucket
the windows were slim and long, i hope you can see that in these photos! it wasn't easy getting a shot of this place through the vegetation!
Photobucket
this place was pretty COOL too! all these homes were on one of the entrance roads that lead into Joshua Tree National Park and quite ritzy! Many of them having Jaguars AND porsches or Mercedes in front of their homes!
Photobucket
Or they were tucked away in the rocks, like this one.
Photobucket
Stop back tomorrow to see the shots we took at the National Park, since we were so close anyway! hehe It is a BEAUTIFUL place and i am sure you will enjoy it too! :)
thank you so very much for sharing this time!! i will see you in the morning!! :D HUGS!
