Bargains and a roadrunner visits

Good evening! as promised i am back with some COOL bargains!
like this little hodgepodge of goodies.

it's never too early to get cheap Christmas items!

we have yet to try this PediPaws thingie.

i remember this fellow only costing 50 cents and sits about 6" high.

i LA LA LOVE leafy plates (and bowls too).

these little bottles will be PERFECT crafting items.

i remember these being in the FREE box! wooHOO! :)

one serving of coffee, coming up! PERFECT for travelling.

this little votive holder was in the FREE box too!

along with this item that was still bagged, never used!


i already put rocks on display in this box! hehe

This container is AWESOME! it was only $2.00 because it has a chip in the lid, but it is PERFECT for all my knitting and crochet needles!!

This claims to be the oldest known flute and is called an Ocarina and it was less than a dollar!! lol

i LOVE this OLD mexican pin!!

and finally tonight, is this WHOLE geode and it's quite large too!!! we got BOTH halves!!! how COOL is that?!!

this one side is absolutely GORGEOUS with so many PERFECT crystal points!!

The other day, John had a roadrunner visit again! TWICE!! they sure seem to LOVE him! lol i got some REALLY good pictures of the little guy and can hardly wait to share!

More quilling and even more sky

Good evening! i am back to share more quilling. and i wanted to mention that quilling isn't only done in 3D like these miniatures, it can also be included in scrapbooking, as alot of it can be laid flat. i am sure you could even flatten these in a new design for scrapping with. if i get my paper supply (needed for quilling) built up, i would love to give designing a try! :)

And i caught this sky shot last monday morning (11-2-09). the sun was not far out of the photo, on the left of these colorful clouds. i cannot remember ever seeing this before.

Do you see it? it's part of a rainbow in the some of the clouds.

isn't that pretty? :)

Quilling and Desert skies

Good evening! it took me awhile to get somewhat back on track, as i feel the Universal Screws lately. the latest? DS came home and said he has to work Thanksgiving day now, this after FIVE years at Walmart.
Anyways, in order to help keep my sanity, this quilling came at the PERFECT time.
i finished this screen, although it still needs some white paint to cover that green wire.

See?

But it really came out nice, all in all.

this little cart came out ok considering the company didn't send me a picture of it... i pretty much had to go on memory since the photo i found online was so small that i could not see any kind of detail.

i even got this little plant stand done too.

i brought the screen back out to photograph this rocking chair.

it's been a real BLESSINg in keeping my mind busy, that's for sure.
i also wanted to share these sunsets of late.
With aLOT of color in the sky.

good morning! i am back with a few more bargains that i hope you enjoy.

i am sure i have more that haven't yet been shared but this is probably going to be the last of new purchases for awhile. we received a letter from social security office and PRAYED it was a mistake. but when we went in and sat down to discuss it, we found out that since DH has been unemployed they overpaid us and now we owe them, not the 5800.00 that they originally thought, we only owe them 5300.00!!!! can you believe it???? it's kinda funny how DH's income effects my ssi checks but his unearned income doesn't!! yep, so now that we NEED the money, instead of 700 something a month, i am only entitled to 177.00 on top of DH's unemployment checks!!
DH went out this morning to try to find ANY kind of employment. good luck to him, i know, in this economy. we did sign a waiver to not pay that back but still the very core of my soul has been shaken. and it still won't pay the rent. nothing like a reality punch in the face. oh well, it HAS to get better, huh? big HUGS! Boy was today downright hot!! DH and i went out, very locally and on our own, for a couple hours, to rock hunt. It so much FUN to go out and find something that no one else has ever seen. :) i will post more as we learn what we found!
For now, more BARGAINS! lol
like these pastel heart plates we found for $2.00.

This box was only two dollars at a yard sale, recently.

Part of the inside looks like water damage but the rest is absolutely BEAUTIFUL!(and PERFECT for rocks! hehe)

Also found this bag of crochet and knitting needles, even a ton of circular ones for just $2.00.

we also had a bundle discount at one yard sale, the more you buy, the better the deal. lol LOVE them! lol so we bought a few items, even found stone, so the prices you may see are not what we paid. wOOHOO! :D

there was a nice chunk of jade.

And this Serpentine slab.

and this marble looking stuff too.

One slab had this AWESOME painting on one side.

Some pyrite and amethyst.

And even peacock ore!

And the bonus was this little piece of opal!

DH really liked this ostrich egg that some one decorated, inside and out.


and lastly, for tonight, we also found this trio of coyote pups for a buck!
