i am sure i have more that haven't yet been shared but this is probably going to be the last of new purchases for awhile. we received a letter from social security office and PRAYED it was a mistake. but when we went in and sat down to discuss it, we found out that since DH has been unemployed they overpaid us and now we owe them, not the 5800.00 that they originally thought, we only owe them 5300.00!!!! can you believe it???? it's kinda funny how DH's income effects my ssi checks but his unearned income doesn't!! yep, so now that we NEED the money, instead of 700 something a month, i am only entitled to 177.00 on top of DH's unemployment checks!!
DH went out this morning to try to find ANY kind of employment. good luck to him, i know, in this economy. we did sign a waiver to not pay that back but still the very core of my soul has been shaken. and it still won't pay the rent. nothing like a reality punch in the face. oh well, it HAS to get better, huh? big HUGS! Shirley I do not understand SSI or how the government runs. Those who need money, don't get it. Those who don't need it, get loads of benefits and payments. It is very upsetting. I wish you could get a lawyer. My dad got disability and honestly, he was not disabled. No, he was not. One of my aunts had post-polio syndrome and could barely move and could not grasp anything in her poor hands and did she get disability? NO.
This is wrong. I can not understand how these things can go so wrong... I am hoping you manage with this huge change.
I hope DH can find something.

OMGosh girl, I can't believe this! I am praying for your finances. What a shocker!!! I too am nieve when it comes to how the 'system' works, but it is apperent it has some issues.
I have the EXACT same Claire's jewellery items as the rose necklace, mine's in purple.
