Cinny gets a vacation!

i made a tough decision on tuesday and finalized it last night... today will be Cinnamon last day here for a couple of months. it has not been an easy adjustment for the other dogs and has only been one big stressful moment for me to have her... as much as i love her is as much as it is hurting to make this decision but i cannot keep up the stress level daily in this house when no other pet wants to play with her and she is constantly jumping up in their faces to play. She will be spenting some time with Aunt Kathy & Uncle Marty since they have a little boy plays well with Cinny. i will miss the play dates for them, heck, i will miss her deeply (haven't stopped crying since yesterday) but it's gonna be best for her..... not me, but my nerves will appreciate it. i will, of course get to see her anytime and this couple wanted to buy her before i did, but didn't have the money at the time so i KNOW they will only be good to her! They will just kind of foster her for a month or so, and then if all works out, we will get her back but if they work out for the better, for her to stay with them, then i won't stand in the way.
this is easily, one of the hardest things i EVER had to do because i love her so much, but my other pets just won't :(
not sure how much time i will be on the computer for awhile either, guess you all know how it is when sadness weighs so heavy. off to spend my day with Cinny (tear falls)

Well, Halloween is over and my son dressed as a pirate and looked fantastic with his long hair

but since he wanted his hair cut, it was time to donate to Locks of Love again! So we cut off about 13 inches lol this is the shortest i EVER remember his hair but it looks so good!

Don't ya LOVE when they pose for ya? Hahaha Well, i told him, i sure wouldn't take offense if he wanted it done professionally but it looks pretty good considering i have NO expertise in shorter hair cuts, but i can cut a pretty mean EVEN cut LOL Usually we send just the 10 inches needed but this time he wanted to go shorter.... so we did :D

We have Security!

lol First i hope you all had a WONDERFUL weekend! the weather here was reasonably warm, bright & sunny on Saturday. We went to the swapmeet and as always, we took Cinnamon. She LOVES to see her other mother (breeder) and she has taken to a few of my friends there too, so she LOVES the outing! Everyone absolutely LOVES to see her too, its quite the social day for both of us lol This weekend, 'Aunt Kathy & Uncle Marty' gave her a little jacket with SECURITY on the back (THANK YOU again!!) and tho she won't be able to wear it all winter (it's tight now) it sure was CUTE!

Don't be surprised to see more photos lol as i took more on the newer camera but have yet to upload those. Isn't she too sweet? She actually is a little sweetheart, but i sure wish i could bottle some of HER energy! lol
Thanks so much for all the warm well wishes on my eye and it's healing totally WONDERFULLY! Even DH commented on how fast it is healing, i just smiled cause i don't really even remember that i am wearing a shiner still since the swelling went down, it doesn't hardly bother me at all. there is just the outside corner that has a small lump and still sore but the color is fading nicely :D

Things that go bump in the night.....

Like me!!! And look at me now! lol

Yea, i know, i know lol Halloween was LAST week! lol And how GOOD would this have looked with MY costume? LOL
i think i will start to turn on some kind of light when wandering off in the middle of the night from now on lol Wierd, to me, but i am no expert on shiners lol, but seemed weird how i hit the outer corner of my eye and tho the swelling went down with ice, WHY would it blow up under and to the inside corner of my eye?? i dunno lol But you can believe i was a little shook up for awhile...

it happened about 5am, yes, THIS morning lol and the pictures were taken about 12 hours later lol And from the side, the bottom is blown out further than my eyeball!! Even tho i kept ice on it for over 2 hours (off & on the corner for an hour and then the bottom of my eye for the rest of the time) strange! On a lighter note...
Cinnamon is doing FINE!! lol still has a scratch on her head and hasn't learned much at all from the experience and jumping and biting everyone to play lol but proving she is back to health!
I hope you have a better week than i have been having (sigh)... mine have not been the easiest but definitely interesting to say the least lol

November already?

Wow! Hard to believe it's already November! Just a few more weeks til Thanksgiving, sheesh!! I hope you had a safe and happy Halloween! As for me, well, I have been nursing a hurt Cinnamon. Her first Halloween and she sure was introduced quite well, poor thing! Charly gave her a warning bite and Thank GOD it's nothing serious, it scared her quite severely! She does have a small spot that bled a little and that's when we called a vet tech friend of ours. After examination and a little clean up, we were given a few things to watch for and sent home with a fairly good diagnosis. Barely a scratch but one lesson learned well! Yesterday we kept the boo-boo clean and with neosporin on it and she pretty much wanted nothing more than to rest! She ate and spent some time with me (and went potty, ok too) but mostly just wanted to rest, the little sweetie. And today, she is almost back to normal (more scared than hurt), still went up to Charly to play, so I am not sure what lesson she learned, if any! lol But what a scare for ALL of us! sheesh! So now we are considering Charly either to be more an outside dog, like we wanted for him from the start, or a new home. We are leaning toward the first option, for now. Wish us luck. :D
