AND recently DH & i went rockhunting locally and found crystal points.
some of the smaller crystals are so clear they look like glass or diamonds the way they glisten.
i am sorry these photos honestly don't do these crystals any justice at all.
we also found crystal carpets or clusters.
this one is my fave. in person, it reflects like mirrors, it's so blingy!
This one is DH's fave. i dug it up and think it will look great after a little CLR cleaning. hehe

WOW, those are some terrific crystal points! My ex the physicist collects those...fascinated with 'em...he has paid a pretty penny for ones that weren't as pretty!!!
I am beginning to think I'm hopeless with rock-hunting...when I go out, I look now, SHOULD be finding carnelian..but nada! Maybe after a rain I will have more luck!
It must be very difficult to capture the true sparkle of these rocks - I know when I try to capture sparkles on greeting cards it never works either :(
can't wait to see your bargains - you have the knack for finding them. I must sort mine out to make room for more! Rotfl!
