Arizona gem show!

Today was a really nice day for a gem show! a bit breezy but the trip wasn't long either. i am not sure how much you want to see but i will share the BEST!
we got so many good deals, i will just be glad to get through naming them all for you! lol
First we will start with the last thing we saw today which is this HUGE crystal. my only regret is i didn't even think to look for a price but should have. it is a BEAUTY!

i want to do some research on this one, a Carborundum.

these are a few pieces of fluorite, in all kinds of colors!

Next is a raw ruby and aquamarine.

These are Spiderweb agate and Carnelian.

This next one, both John and i forget what it was called but it is a ton of drusy (glitter like stuff) with some crystals. the picture doesn't do this one justice.

John LOVEs goldstone and was stunned to find green. we have seen blue and gold goldstones before now he has green too! hehe

Next is Root Beer Calcite.

John really likes this Opalite.

i LOVE this Black Opal and never saw this before. (from Ethiopia)

this is a small piece of Ethiopian Opal but the photo doesn't show it off well.

i really wanted some Amber and was shocked to know how pricey it is, so we got a small piece! :)

oh my goodness, just looking down as we walked from vendor to vendor, we were finding AWESOME rock! we found all these, including a whole crystal, pieces of a goldstone, some kind of faceted red stone, it was a BLAST!

Turquoise wasn't too expensive since they mine it right in AZ. this bear was only a couple of bucks!

And here's a piece of raw turquoise.

This one is Stabilized Chrysocolla (stabilized gemstone which has been infused with a clear epoxy resin. The resin, under pressure, absorbs into the rock, which permanently hardens the rock and deepens the color. )

And this is 200 grams of Pyrite that is partially shaped into an egg shape and mounted... from Peru. we got this for DS, he was home with our pets, he seemed to appreciate it! :)

Gosh, I love all of what you got. Even though the picture is small, the "fire" in that opal is really apparent!

Now I have to go scroll up to pick my very favorite one...tee hee...I don't know...I just LOVE the carnelian, I am hooked on that color and how smooth the stones are...
