a littlle story or two

Two men were in the hospital. The man by the window would describe what was outside that window daily to the man, in the bed, next to him. Telling him "It's a beautiful warm, crimson sunrise with children coming out to play" also detailing an enormous parade with children running and people celebrating. This went on for weeks until then one day, the man by the window died. Missing the daily visions, the other man pleaded with a nurse to allow him the bed by the window until she relented. Once moved there, he positioned himself for the view only to see a brick wall. Confused, he said to the nurse, "I don't understand, he would describe these lovely days and all i see is a brick wall." The nurse replied, " Sir, didn't you realize that man was blind?"
Hence, the moral of this story is to view the world for all its beauty and not dwell on the negativities. ;)
I hope you like that story and share it with others, and if you did like that one, here's one my DH shared with me this morning ...by O.Henry
There was a little girl who was very ill and bedridden and she had an old artist friend who would come by and visit her daily. Where she looked out the window, she could see a tree and brick wall. As it was autumn, they would watch the leaves falling off that tree. And one day, she said to the old artist, "When the last leaf falls, I will die." The artist looked out the window, noticing only a few leaves left on the tree, so the little girl thought she would not make it through the night. She awoke the next morning to find a single leaf still on that tree, on a branch that lay next to the brick wall. She waited and waited for her artist friend to show so she could share the news. Finally she asked her mother where he was and was told he had died from the cold during the night. She looked out at the tree and as she did, a wind blew and the branch moved but the leaf was still, because it was painted on the wall. And she then realized he had given his life to save hers.
How do you see the moral of this story? :D
i really like those stories.
Here's another thought:
Courage is the triumph of the spirit over the body.
ok ok, enough of the mental & spiritual... off to play & CREATE!!!
Have a WONDERFUL day and thanks so much for your visit!! :D hugs!
