Bargains, a crazy tree, a bird and roses!

Good evening! well, this area braced for terrible storms and thankfully our area was not even rainy til just a little bit ago, this evening! we went into town, down in the valley and it was doom and gloomy all morning, just enough rain to make it ugly. but driving up the mountain, to home, we saw the faintest rainbow because it was sunny where we live! lol Crazy weather!
well, i uploaded a few more recent bargains, like when we went to an estate sale and i found these suede gloves for a buck fifty!

these slippers were $3.00.

this next item, i am sure contained cat bowls for food and water but i will use it outside for plants! hehe

this little overnight or makeup bag was only $2.00.

i LOVE finding these stony creatures!

this COOL jewelry box was only $8.00!

here it is opened. AND that back wall of compartments, closes with a roll top type lid!! very COOL!

and lastly, we found at the same estate sale, these gold rings for $3.00 each and the i believe to be amethyst necklace was $4.00!! BARGAIN!! lol

Recently driving around the area, looking for a particular estate or moving sale, we spotted this tree and turned around to get this photo! Someone has got some MAD talents!!

Also, as you know, this bird comes around and actually visits with DH, well, it feels so comfortable around the two of us, we caught it sunning itself the other day!

Just got into position and opened its back feathers up!!

i got so MANY photos cause it just sat there so long, just sunning itself! lol

and lastly tonight, i recently got roses!! that was a surprise too! now even though our anniversary comes around once a year, we both don't usually celebrate it because we feel we are good to each other each and every day, sort of celebrating our love, well, out of the blue, last Friday, DH hands me a bouquet of roses, a card AND chocolates!! lol He spoils me so!! :)

some bargains!

Good evening! i hope you are enjoying a nice cool fall evening! Here we are anticipating a couple of storms, not sure if they will bring the rain or snow. but for now it is clear and COLD!! lol
all things were in working order so i uploaded a few photos.
First up is this LOVELY heart platter we found for three dollars.

we didn't pay much for this little bird...maybe a dollar.

the basket with lid was a whole fifty cents!! lol

this leather and bead bottle was only a dollar!

these runners were a buck each. i really like the black velvet one!!

this coconut candle was a bargain!

not sure what this LOVELY is made of but it was a bargain, too, at a buck!

this picnic basket is going to be FANTASTIC for when we make a day of rock hunting!

this silver purse and blue and white tote were only a quarter each!!

i LOVE wire forms and this one will be COOL filled with rocks outside!

i think this ball is made of wood but it really looks AWESOME!

i LOVE this abalone chain necklace!! (for a dollar it was a STEAL!)

i think this little Santa is sooo CLEVER!!

and finally tonight, we recently purchased this genuine crystal. i remember they wanted $35.00 and we offered and paid twenty!!

as you may already know, there is PLENTY more bargains to show... just gotta upload more pictures! lol HUGS!! Have a WARM & COZY evening!!

where have i been?

Sorry i haven't been around blogland but i have been sick with fever for the past couple of days! UGH! the fever broke last night and i feel that i am finally on the mend. this cold came on quite hard and fast and surely wasn't fun. and now this week, California is being hit pretty hard with three different storms, with rain AND snow. double UGH! lol
i sure hope it's been nicer for you.
oh and using my hubby's computer has become more and more difficult with issues all its own. when i cannot use right click, or when about blank dot com opens page after page, it all seems like a virus but we did a scan and the thing comes up clean. so i just don't get it! oh that's just the tip of the iceberg with this computer. lol
tonight i went to add some photos to this blog and of course the right click is not available again... and i JUST rebooted this box!! (sigh)

Those beautiful desert skies

Good evening! i hope you shared your blessings and had a WONDERFUL Thanksgiving. we did it at home, it was nice and quiet.

i am obviously a sucker for a cute candle holder! :)

and anytime we can pick up carved stone or marble, cheaply, we are there! hehe

i remember paying $8.00 for this bucket with rocks. lol

sounds silly, paying for rocks but we got this huge hunk of we believe to be petrified wood.

i think this might be honey calcite but wasn't sure.

and this unusual shell was amongst some other FUN rocks.

anyways, onto some other FUN items, like this stack of books, we got for 50 cents!

or this wall wagon, we got for the same price!!

this dress was a buck!

anytime we buy clowns, they are a gift for a special friend. :)

i could hardly believe this bead loom was only 50 cents, especially considering the container full of seperated by color, seed beads and the needles and thread needed AND the loom was strung!! BONUS! hehe

we really LOVE these painted slabs, when we see them. such a CLEVER idea!

i could hardly resist this cookie jar for the wife of the friend we give the clowns to! :)

this little guy was only a buck and stands on a light base of three different colored bulbs that alternate in lighting! :)

this jade elephant was only two dollars! may be the bargain of the day!! hehe

or this stone/marble unicorn that stands about 20 inches, it was $3.00.

or these SEVEN chocolate molds for a buck! lol
