oh another day another trouble (sigh)

All was going soo good for a little while here... last night DH was on the new puter and DS was going to go on it when we later notice its off... no one really gave it much thought since its on a battery backup for any power surges now and this afternoon we go to use it and NOTHING (SIGH) i just dont know!!! DH is trying to get ahold of SOMEONE at the store we bought it but no one answers ... sometimes its just soo hard to keep a positive attitude when so much just keeps on hitting :( oh DH says, its under warranty and isnt worried and he's right of course but STILL!!!!!we JUST got the broadband straitened out!!!!! DH just got off the phone and puter goes back to store tomorrow HOPEFULLY to get fixed (SIGH) it's really a good thing i am NOT a drinker or i would be hitting the bottle right about NOW!
oh well, onward and upward, as they say :)

the title is a pre-warning to those who dont necessarily want to read my negativity :)
i am about to gripe here ....
i wanna share with you about my Hughsnet broadband experience :)
it has not been as good as i had hoped! FIRST, they DONT ever tell ya that there are download limits, something about fair share use so one person isnt sitting there downloading all day, i guess... so i have been keeping track of my downloads, time and dl size, as i go merrily along my blog hopping and yesterday i came across a 90 megger that would have put me close to my 175 megs in a 4 hr time frame period...so i chance it cuz i am NOT at or over the 175 allowed and not only do i NOT get my download, it quit before finishing THEN the whole internet connection speed DROPS like a ROCK... it took longer to simply open a page than with dial up!!!!!! so DH calls yet AGAIN and finds out that not only do i have this 175 meg download LIMIT but now it seems they way he was told last night, that once i come even CLOSE to that limit, it WILL drop my internet connections for 24 HOURS before it resets!!!! WHEN WAS THIS RULE MADE!????????
we have been on that phone with them since Jan. no less than SIX times and NOW THEY TELL US THIS????!!!!!! OH MY GAWD!!! I AN SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO NOT HAPPPPY!
so now i either have to watch my downloads EVEN CLOSER!!!!!!(where's the fun in THAT!???) OR use dial up for much of my downloads but then FEAR using broadband for bigger dls! what kind of service is this!!!!!????? i am so amazed that today NO ONE has to do a good job at anything they do!
oh well, i will keep it short on the ranting since i dont like the negativities myself :)
as for my new puter (yay!) i still havent installed anything on it, but DH & DS did get me online thru it (as much good as that does right now LOL) but i do plan on getting on it TODAY!
with soo many viruses and now this Vista crap that i DIDNT even want i really thought about getting a Mac.... my oldest son said he had programs that would allow me to work with my programs like cs2 and such but when it came down to it ... i was afraid of the time of learning something soo different from what i already know. :( but i got a really nice puter for me and tho i dont look forward to all that installing again...it is kinda nice to start so fresh. i might be able to get a grip on organizing THIS TIME! i try all the time and some how it always escapes me and the desktop always looks sooo messy and i can hardly ever find what i am looking for! LOL i am hoping to do better though.
and while i am on the subject....if ANYONE has a good way of organizing their CDs, PLEASE let me know... DH has burned off so many for me and OH MY GOODNESS i DREAD looking for something on them now!!! LOL there isnt enough space to write everything that is on a cd, on the cd and i dont have little envelopes (where i can list just about EVERYTHING on that cd and works good but oh sooo many of those gets NUTS!) so i am at a loss! i havent a clue on how to KNOW what's on which cd H E L P! LOL

oh my goodness it has been such a rollercoaster! this weekend i had probably the busiest weekend ever in my life and tho i pulled it off like a charm, i awoke Monday with a good head cold! wonder if i just ran my resistances down?! oh well, i felt a bit better yesterday and hopefully even better still today!
i DID get my new computer but we are slow at getting it loaded up with my goodies since i wasnt feeling well.
i did take time (still on son's computer tho)and created a Floral kit

and the elements

it's just called Floral, now, but was made in the honor of meeting Donna from Moo2 in Vegas on Sunday! what a day we had but of course we didnt have enough time together!!
we did go to brunch in the Excaliber casino and then off to Mirage to the Seigfried's Secret Garden to see the white tigers and surprisingly enough, DOLPHINS too!! we didnt get there in time to see the actual dolphin show but did find out that anyone can be a dolphin trainer for a day!!!! i would LOVE to do that just ONCE!!! oh the dolphins make me soo happy, i cry! :)
today i am watching for the UPS truck, since my oldest son (in NY) sent a package. it was suppose to be delivered yesterday but for some reason was a day delayed.... funny kid that one, he wont tell me what it is but did say its a box of 7 smaller boxes in it, so its for everyone LOL i can hardly wait to see what it could be LOL
oh well, hopefully things can start getting back to normal here soon.... well, maybe after this weekend when we HOPEFULLY go looking for a newer car! sigh soo much to do, so little time lol

the skies are gonna clear up & movie review

yesterday was a day i dreaded, having to go to DMV, SSA, notary, bank and groceries store.... but it turned out to be such a GREAT day inspite of where i had to go & all that had to be done...DH came home a little after noon and off we went (sigh) luckily i dealt with AWESOME women at both DMV & SSA, they were MOST helpful and understanding and the notary turned out to be nothing to sweat, of course and the bank made our day's end completely WONDERFUL (not the pain we expected) we wound up not going to the grocery store and just headed home to share the good news with DS.
now i can share it with you :)
my health issues have entitled me to some disability funds that finally (after 2 1/2 year wait & see for the most part)came thru. DH goes to deposit it thru ATM into his account thinking it should be no big deal until he went back a few days, giving it time to clear, he finds out because the name the check was issued to was not on his account, they sent the SIGNED check back to our post office box!!!!! i was livid and almost devastated!!!! after all our struggle thru the years together, we finally got the answer to most our problems and THEY send it WHERE??? OMG, i couldnt think without thinking about how stupid this was & was it legal to send a signed check anywhere, i couldnt feel without hurting, i was so nearly wiped right out but i had to have faith that GOD would NOT allow that check to be lost in the mail or stolen!!! Lots and Lots of praying!! well, it took over a week to get it back! but we finally did!!! (whew!)so now we have to get my name changed legally to something EVERYONE will recognize and accept!!! (sheesh) see i was married before and so am dealing with my maiden name and ex-hubby's name, my sweet DH's name doesnt enter the picture yet lol its such a mess!! but thankfully i could not have had two women understand and be any more helpful and sweet!! thank GOD again!
well, needless to say, after all was said and done, we go to finally open me an account for this check and the banker surprised us both with " How much would you like to take with you today?" WOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOO! we thought we'd have to wait a few days!! so now most of the crap HAS hit the fan and we survived it! this time coming up pretty clean sort of speak lol
NOW i WILL be getting my own computer and that will help with my creating again, i wont feel like someone else is waiting to use to puter too ( DH for his ebay stuff & DS for his friends)
Well, this past weekend, DH and i rented Happy Feet! DS looked at us like we may have needed some help lol but wound up ENJOYING with US!! lol and it was OH MY GOODNESS SO GOOOD!!!! lotsa good music and tunes. it seems the one group of penguins needs to find a song from their hearts and sing it to find their true love... until Mombo(not sure of the spelling) is born and cannot sing with his voice, but can with his FEET, he can dance!! and the adventure he goes on and others he meets, just sooo cutelol oh it is a movie that i got into so much ( and i wasnt alone in my house that got INTO it lol) i laughed, i cried, i was truly scared for the little guy.... it was absolutely a two thumbs up or rating of 10 outta 10, 5 stars!!! however its put, it was worth OWNING!! another one for our library, one day, for sure!! DH and i still throw some of the cute lines with each other! not gonna forget this one for a long time!! a DEFINITELY feel GOOOD time movie!!! And HIGHLY RECOMMENDED for ANY age!
sidenote: if you do rent it, i recommend the special features too!!! some are funny, shocking and just plain touching (if you,like me, miss Steve Irwin, crikey!!)

Been a rough one!

well, it's been a wild & rough ride this past week, but sorry for neglecting the blog area!! hopefully my troubles will be gone soon!!! then i can get back on track better, easier & with joy again!
it's been raining here all day, not good for a monday, especially if i have to go out today lol but GREAT for the area... we've been over 12 inches below rain average. it may BE the desert but usually we have a rainy winter season and this year its been soo unusually dry. not good for the blooms either :( and the desert can be soo beautiful after a wet winter.. maybe next year! :)
well, its official, i am a blog hopper, since having broadband lol now i just gotta get time to scrap all these awesome freebies!!
oh well, i just wanted to check in and let everyone know i am still here :) i gotta get this day started and hopefully i will get back to ya soon! until then get SCRAPPING! lol
