Two dollar day?

Good evening! is it hot where you live? it was 107 degrees here today! that's just CRAZY hot! lol DH & i fought the bees for the pool today! they kept wanting to take a drink (one at a time, thankfully!) and we kept splashing them away, they can have it when i leave!! lol
Well, the roadrunner came back, last night and brought at least two friends!! i saw THREE this time and i don't believe they travel in any kind of flock, like the quail do, so that was REALLY special! i only got this one pic though.

it was really a weird sky this morning but cleared up to be quite nice actually, in spite of the heat! But check out this HUGE cloud!

The sun stayed hidden til about 9 am and then it cleared up and got just plain HOT! lol This flower caught my eye at the swapmeet this morning. No idea what it is but it reminded me of orchids but this plant is a tree!! (shrugs shoulders)


the next thing that caught my eye is this sheet metal horse head. DH asked how much the guy wanted for it and was told $40.00! it was very COOL but we didn't get it.

These Austrailian Shepherd puppies, i was told, were free but we didn't get any.

they sure were CUTE though!! :)

This WONDERFUL napkin holder was only two dollars!! i LOVE the western theme!!

This set of leafy plates were only a dollar too! i LOVE the leafy plates! lol

These books (YES BOOKS!! lol) were a total of only $3.00! the Arizona book is from the 50's and it is really AWESOME! so many of the things we saw just last year, are featured in this book from way back then!! VERYYY COOL! :) and the other one is a quote a day from 1940!! LOVE it! :)

i bought this rock that i thought was unique with it's little crystal inside that shelf hole!! sorry about the crappy photo!

This CUTE bunny set reminded me of those nesting dolls!!! ($2.00)

More bargains & a roadrunner visits!

Well, Coco survived the vet and all we have to do this week, yet, is see my doctor, for my bloodwork results. hopefully my cholestoral is lowered! it wasn't bad, but the doctor would be happier if it gets to about 100. i think that is asking ALOT but hopefully it has lowered some! :)
Ready for more bargain shopping with me? Good, cause i think i saw some goodies, this way!! hehe
i got this BEAUTY, at an estate sale. i want to ask our swapmeet vendor (gem guy) if he knows what it is. i just thought it was so PRETTY!

of course, we got MORE books! lol

These sandals look so NICE on and were only $3.00!

And do you remember some LOVELY blue things, with some fabric i bought, well i found out they were to be made into slippers like these i got for a buck!!

i paid a couple of bucks for this little lot. it's a little self standing shelf, a pair of chopsticks, two doll straw hats, and two mini copper molds!!

And finally, two dollars for YET another purse!! lol and just today, my DH bought me a plastic shelving unit type thingy for holding my purses so we can get them off hangers in the closet! LOL i do switch up and use different ones all the time and LOVE having this purse collection! NEVER in my life have i collected purses before! oh well! lol

i hope we go to another estate sale this weekend, the last couple we made it to, were really lousy! i would have called them garage sales and NOT estate! lol

This little fellow just came RIGHT up to my DH!!! it was funny, cause then i heard John tell it to wait and he will be right back! lol Doesn't that bird wait for him!?!! YEP and for a treat, John gives it small meatballs of raw hamburger!

a Fourth of July Freebie!

Good evening! it's pretty late here, going on 11pm. i have had the busiest schedule lately! let's see, Friday nite we went to one fireworks display, Saturday it was another display down in town, Sunday was a barbeque, Monday DH's brother came to visit from Tennessee, Tuesday was blood work and farewell breakfast with DH's brother!! oh i am not done this week, yet, since we have a vet appointment on Wednesday and Thursday my dr. appointment! WHEW! i think by the time i see my doctor, my ears will be completely opened! i am sure he will check them both and let me know but they feel pretty good! Anyways, i hear someone asking to see the freebie!! lol ok, ok, here's a preview, i hope you like it, it's been awhile since i last seen my mojo! hehe

Fun photos & a few bargains too!

Good evening! i sure hope you had a WONDERFUL holiday weekend! Ours was quite busy with local fireworks on Friday and more fireworks, down in town on Saturday and then a rock hounder's picnic on Sunday! and our week doesn't look to slow either! (sigh) Well, i am HAPPY to report that most of my hearing has come back from driving up and down this mountain!!! lol That's GREAT news since this week is already FULL!! This year we certainly did better on taking firework photos!! My method... let DH have a try at it!!! LOL He did much better than i! and it was FUN learning more about my little old camera!!
When i last shared photos, i showed a yard sale's garden of tall red flowers and told you i would be back to share mine!! it looks more orange than hers but it is at a different elevation, which may have something to do with it, or the fact that she had it directly in the ground and we have potted ours! ANYWAYSss, it looks LOVELY to me! :)

These next couple aren't so LOVELY! they are vistors that we have recently had!
This spiny collared lizard is hanging around on the WALL outside!! EWwwwwww GO AWAY!!!

And this Red Racer decided to slither by while we were enjoying the pool one afternoon!

Baby Italian Bull Mastiffs at SIX weeks old! they are HUGE!! lol

but this little guy (chahuahua) isn't so big at only 10 weeks old!

We start shopping and come across this stuffed coyote... soo sad!

so DH makes a sad situation a bit funny, pretending to be bitten.

As i am checking out this one vendor stuff, i keep hearing this peep, peeping and discover she has friends with her! like this TWO day old peacock (that was along for her special care, not for sale).

And she shows me the difference between a baby chick and the baby peacock (on the right).

And while we are on the subject, the bird we had nesting under the porch roof, is now feeding her second brood!!! YAY!!

Fireworks Photography

Taking pictures of the fireworks display this weekend? Weekend bargains!

i apologize for my delay in returning but i went to the doctor's again yesterday. Even the doctor looked at me, jokingly and said, "You again!" lol since we are not to be there for another two weeks!! "Yea", i told him, " we HAVE to stop meeting like this!" lol but it wasn't ALL fun and jokes, since i was there cause i could not hear from my right ear!!! the day before, i mentioned to my family that my right ear sounds like water in it, and this morning i wake to my ear completely closed!! WELL, the doctor says my eustacian tube closed (might happen to the left ear too!) and it could be closed for 3 days or 3 years!!! ok, well, what can we do? NOTHING! ok, then can we do anything about the ringing in there? He says, NO, he wishes he could help but it has to run its course! there is no wax or fluids in there and what i heard (like the water sound) was actually the air being pushed out of my tube as it closed!! oh YAY! so now i sit here, no lie, half deaf!! i can hardly believe there is NOTHING to be done and GOD help me if this goes on longer than three days!!!!
oh well, enough of that, huh?!! :) onto the bargains!! WOOHOO! :)
This PRETTY purple dish and pot holder we got at a yard sale for a buck total! the pot holder has rubber gripping on the one side and i have never seen that before! how useful for in the kitchen!!

while we were there, i saw these GORGEOUS, large red flowers and was told that the mom is selling them too!!! COOL!!!!!

we wound up buying two right out of her garden!! lol strange but she says she is moving and wants to sell EVERYTHING!!! well, ok, i don't need to be told twice! lol
fifty cents a plant and she threw an extra one in free! hehe :)
so far, ONE of the plants is doing GREAT for me, i will upload the pic when DH gets it off the camera! :)
And she was selling all her chickens and chicks too!! i didn't ask how much for them but oh how i wanted one!! or Five!!! LOL they were preparing this box for another shopper! OH and this is when i discovered my shutter acting up!!!

So then Sunday, we go to the swapmeet again and this is the first thing we saw! How COOL!!

Anywayssss, back to the bargains, right?! :)
i bought this mini rain stick type item for just two bucks!! it's about 14" long.

Anyone know how to read music?? lol Got all these music books for just two bucks too!

These next books, i got off the bookman, but he gave them to me free since DH got a bunch of magazines from him!! C-O-O-L and thank you!! :)

These Chaps shoes were only 50 cents!! who can pass that up, they are like brand new!
and FIT!! Lol

Got all this fabric for a buck! do you see that gold lame' and those blue things are just LOVELY!! don't yet know what to do with them but they are STUNNING!! someone put a nice amount of time into them!!!

i already can't remember if i paid one or two dollars for this stone duck but it wasn't much either way!! hehe

And can you believe that concludes our bargains? well, ok, i did buy some clothes from the clothes vendor (not off of someone's table, this lady has a permanent stand). i got like two pair of shorts, a skort, skirt and 5 or 6 tops for only $14!!! i had to buy some bigger size clothing for the summer!! now i won't have a meltdown everytime i try to find something to wear!! lol
Well, i sure hope you are enjoying the summer! it's been HOT here!! and i am definitely looking forward to our Fourth of July fireworks display! it's never nothing much, like the bigger cities have but it's close!! hehe
