Second on the list is something i found AMAZING! While i was visiting another new blogger, Bargain Hunting with Laurie , (how could i not check this site out with a name like that, huh?). lol ANYWAYS, while visiting there i came across the most interesting post which lead me to another site that i hope you find as interesting as i did!!! Have you ever heard of Typed art ? it is the most fascinating thing i have come across in awhile! Such creative talent! i am sure i could NEVER do this! A little about the man,"Paul Smith was born in Philadelphia on September 21, 1921. Although severe cerebral palsy kept him out of school, it didn't prevent him from having a remarkable life. He taught himself to become a master artist as well as a terrific chess player. His pictures were based on these characters @ # $ % ^ & * ( ) _ "
Here is just one of his AWESOME typed art:

Are you AMAZED yet? :D

Sharing a little of Saturday

Yesterday when we left, in the morning to take DS to work, this is what we saw!
jan 10 moon setting at dawn
That's the moon setting, in the west as the sun was coming up on the east!! It was still so bright & BEAUTIFUL!
After breakfast, we found these at the swapmeet!!
This ashtray is about 5 inches and was only a dollar!!
5" ashtray for a dollar
Here the back shows it's from Portugal!!
back of ashtray
i usually buy these, what i think are called bolos, for my brother-in-law but i think i may have to keep this one with a malachite stone.
malachite bolo
And finally, i got this bowl for just two dollars but the picture doesn't show how the red shimmers and makes it irresistible! hehe
red shimmering doesn't show up
I also made a layout of a small part of the some chicks that hang around my house.

i read somewhere once that chickens, in the kitchen, are suppose to bring good luck, so there they are! :D Not that i bought them for that reason, i hadn't even read that til after i had them, but most of the chickens i have are outside!(sorry the older photos are so much bigger)
rooster collection
And these basket ones:

(you can see the picture if you right click & save as, again i apologize for the bigger photos)
On a sidenote:
Speaking of bringing luck, i also read that nothing attracts wealth and good luck like a water fountain! Always pretty if nothing else! :D
And finally i found another AWESOME site for giveaways, i hope you check out and enjoy!! :D
One World, One Heart
That's it for me today! Thank you so much for visiting, i hope you have a GREAT day!

Have you tried to LeapBlog yet?

While on my daily blog hopping and visiting Betty, i read her post about LeapBlogging! lol It sounded FUN and a GREAT way to check out new blogs too! The rules are simple:
You leap off to a blog listed on your own sidebar and then jump to a blog unknown to you on that person's sidebar then continuing this way for 10x. Then, on that tenth blog, you must find your own blog listed in that tenth blog's sidebar in order to win. Winning isn't everything and i left a comment on each blog too! i was quite surprised to see how many bloggers who get NO comments.
Anyways, here is how it went for me:
from my sidebar to
Newlife Dreams
where i LOVE to look at her LOVELY kits
then
Cheryl is a Domestic Goddess
where i saw BEAUTIFUL layouts
then
Lilacs in Bloom
where i saw more LOVELY layouts
then
Stacey Siegal
where i found a white Christmas layout with sand NOT snow! My kind of White Christmas!
then
Keeping it Real
where i found some really cute designs and more layouts!
then
To Scrap or Not to Scrap
where i found a dressmaker!
then
PERFECT MOMENTS
where i found New year's celebrations!
then
Scraps of life
where i found a model of T-Rex
then
Create Your Traditions/
where i found someone keeping up on the Project 365
and FINALLY, my last stop
Tinman
found a gent
and lost but sure found some intersting and fun blogs! And i am sure to be doing that again! lol i have LOTS in my sidebar! hehe :D
My sweet friend, Mrs. Miles , while visiting with me, asked what all was in my son's package. GREAT question and thank you for asking!! It was FILLED with about a ton of Tastykakes!!! Something we cannot seem to be able to buy in southern California unless we have access to the Marine Base. Yes, they have a GREAT store! There were Cream filled Vanilla cupcakes, some kind of chocolate ones i think are peanut butter filled (haven't yet tried one so am not sure of the filling), Butterscotch Krimpets, Cream filled chocolate cupcakes and a coffee cake type filled with vanilla creme!! YUMM i can almost feel the pounds building on me between all these goodies and the chocolate chip cookie binge i have been on! LOL Thank you again, Son for this YUMMY and WONDERFUL gift!! HUGS!!
One other thing to share and you may already know about this magazine online:
Scrap n' art
Thank you so very much for visiting and i hope you have a FANTASTIC day! :D
