saga of a homeless harddrive

well, yesterday, DH took DS's computer over to computer guy, he installs my harddrive and its pretty much usable! yayy! i do have to re install some programs and i may have lost some but have MOST of my stuff! yayy! i am still going thru and finding stuff lol but i can rejoin my digiscrapping world, for the most part! yay!!! :)now to copy EVERYTHING on cd's, it's gonna take some time before we can get a battery to run the computer off of...from.... sorry for the bad english lol i am gonna be a little skittish about losing stuff for awhile i think. then to hook up printer and camera to DS's puter (sigh) slooowly getting back to where i was :)
maybe i can soon share another freebie, that would be WONDERFUL!

while on the subject

i figured, while i am on the subject of food needs, i thought i would share a site that i visit daily! not much but it is something, that i can & do daily :)

at the top of the opening page, are 6 tabs of places to help, if you'd like :) :) i only mention it becuz for almost a year i hadnt noticed it and only helped breast cancer lol who knew? lol

oh and update on my puter situation: well, i tried to hold off til i had my harddrive installed into my son's but still the computer guy hasnt called... today we are to take DS's puter over so the guy can install my harddrive and said its usable! yay!!! now we just gotta DO IT! lol i am not impatient or anything, am i? LOL (c'monc'monc'monc'mon,coooomeeeeonnnnn)

Simple living

Well, today i was reading thru a friend's blog and came across an entry about living more simply. DH & i have lived that way pretty much MOST of the almost 8 years we been together, it's our way of life anymore :) We always shop thrift stores, swapmeets and such and on occassion have had to go to churches for food. life is not easy when you arent rich so we have happily learned to love the life of thrift, frugal or "simple" :) :) here's a neat little article i came across today and thought i would share, hope you can find some use from it!!

update on my puter: i havent heard from the computer guy yet,(he's had my harddrive since the 8th!) so HOPEFULLY, no news is GREAT news and maybe he is retrieving ALL my data from it! (crossing fingers)

well today DH took puter to get fixed and then brought it back NOT :(
seems we had a power surge and it only hit my computer... and fried pretty much.
tomorrow, hopefully we can retrieve (extract) some info (kits, pix, etc)
lesson of the week: burn copies WEEKLY! :(

oh the saga continues...

i awake this morning to find no power to computer!! what NOW???!!! that means, no bingo, no more treasure hunt, nothing :( thank goodness for my DS computer or i wouldnt be here now yet.

hehe yea, i am a sucker for Prince still :) and i sure was more than happy to see him at half time!!
well i am also glad this week is OVER!!! was a real rollercoaster! starting with Chris' Celebration of Life memorial service and ending up with my SSI hearing... it was rough, i am not one for pressures or stresses of being before a judge lol
well, as for SDK, i am thinking about doing a ONE MONTH only challenge, just to see how it goes... was a cool challenge i saw in one forum when i browsed the web recently... i think it was called the Numbers challenge, where we pick numbers for how many colors we use, how many layouts we make and i dont remember, something like how many kits need to be used to complete the challenge.... or SOMETHING like that LOL and darned if i can remember where i saw it too lol oh the mind is the first thing to go, they say rofl
as for my little Coco, well, he has at least doubled his tiny size lol, he doesnt fit in DH palm anymore! lol how sweet he is!!!
