More Rocks & award!

i hope everyone had a WONDERFUL & safe holiday and remembered to turn your clocks back too! i wonder how bad it messes someone up, that live in those few states that do not recognize Daylight Savings time and was surprised to learn that a few states DON'T turn their clocks forward or backward, spring or fall!! strange :D
Now, onto my rocks, heehee
Mrs.Miles asked about a couple of them and i thought it would be nice to answer here!
First, thank you for your question, and as much as MOST of the stones have folklore and/or properties that can work for you this Chinese Writing rock has none! For example, if you wanted to bring love into your life, you could carry or wear a particular crystal! it is really quite interesting as i said, most of them have some kind of property but Chinese Writing is NOT one of them, oddly enough! There is not much written about this pretty rock but for bringing about love, there are three in particular that work for you... Rose Quartz, Amethyst and Rhodochrosite! Here is what i could find about this cool stone though:
This is a limestone matrix with andalusite crystals. It is also called Porphory. It received the name Chinese Writing Rock or Stone because of the crystalline structure resembling the Chinese characters of the written language.

The stone is known to be found in the Auburn, California region of the foothills of the Sierra Nevadas. It strongly resembles the Chrysanthemum stone, another limestone matrix and andalusite crystal stone from China, but the crystals in that stone spray out into a chrysanthemum pattern - hence the name. This stone comes from the Yangtze River Valley of the Hunan Province of China.

Colors range from a very dark gray or almost black to creamy white, both of which have a slight greenish cast. A dramatic looking stone, it is a 5-6 on the Mohs scale.
As for the Amazonite which is found in America, Russia, Canada, Brazil, India, Mozambique, Namibia and Austria! Another legend says the name Amazonite comes from the belief that it was found in the Amazon river. This stone dissipates negative energy and blockages within the nervous system. It is beneficial in osteoporosis, tooth decay, calcium deficiencies that create these conditions. Cool, huh?
This past saturday we met another lady who has been a rock hound since the 70's and she gave me her number so we could get together sometime. she seemed so very excited to meet a newbie and was excited to share so much info. i look forward to getting together, for sure.
