well i sure did it

i messed up big time the other night, working late on the computer. trying to clean up and thinking i am doing a good job, i mistakingly deleted over 4 gigs of a folder! WAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH yep, i cried when i realized it was not a duplicate!!!! Well, my DS in NY helped me out with a free program called Undelete ! what a blessing that was!!! retrieved almost 4 gigs back for me!! (sigh) So i hope you keep this program in mind, if you ever get overly sleepy and don't want to leave the computer lol
We also made the decision to NOT go back to chicago to get our stuff from storage, yet again! the cost of food AND gas is just too much for us right now, so we are going to actually just take a mini vacation, somewhere closer to home! YAY!! it will be our FIRST official vacation EVER!! lol we are planning on going to see the Four Corners! i am soo excited to stick my limbs into FOUR different states! lol i know it sounds soo silly but i am really looking forward to it! Then if there is time (and i am sure there will be plenty, just how much time does it take to take a picture! LOL) then we are off to the Painted Desert, Petrified forest and hopefully the Grand Canyon too!!! WOOHOOO!!! the most we ever took was a weekend getaway so this is really going to be fun!! Have you been to any of these places? i would love to hear from you!
well, i am off to start my first day of June (can you believe it's June already?)
Have a BEAUTIFUL day and thanks soo much for your visit!! HUGS :D

Hi Shirley,

I've been away over the weekend, thus the reason for my not coming to visit you sooner. Yikes about your loss *and thank goodness, regaining* of data... good reminder to all of us. I do back up at least once a month, both to ehd AND disks, and I'm even considering giving a copy of the disks to someone else so if something should happen to my stuff then someone else would have a copy.

I hope you simply enjoy your holiday. I'm sure wherever you go you will have a wonderful time.

I will be back to check on you soon.

hugs,
Barb
