Sorry for not being here

i have been in a funk and now as i feel better, in THAT way (or at least, working on it lol) NOW i feel like i am coming down with a cold UGH!! you know that silly little tickle in the throat and the feeling in the chest, oh and that feeling in the head, just before a fever? UGHH!! my sister says to gargle with salt water (BLECH!) but i will try it and hope it helps!!
i just got done reading a silly book called Cheap Psychological Tricks by Perry W. Buffington, Ph.D. (got free from the swapmeet lol) and one of the last chapters talks about love. something interesting i thought worth sharing :D
"Research shows that affectionate actions-in fact, love in general-improve the effectiveness of the immune system. When a person is falling in love, the body produces an amphetaminelike compound called phenytethylamines and releases them into the brain."
So if you have no one, in particular, to love, then pick something like a plant or pet, it will produce the same results, love is love!!
well, today was the last storm of our 3 storm system, week long rains and as bad as it was suppose to be, it turned out pretty nice but horribly windy! we saw THREE different rainbows,i didn't get great pictures of all three rainbows, since the camera chose to focus on the rain that was spritzed on the windshield, instead of THROUGH the window lol but here are some pictures of this morning's trip down the mountain and back.

Surprisingly cute, i thought lol
Last thing i wanted to share today is something we saw on tv today, on the Science channel... a show called Invention Nation. was pretty cool. they introduced us to homes in New Mexico, called Earthship homes and they are completely self sustaining!!!! EVEN watering the plants, inside AND out!!! lol VERRRYYY GREEN (planet friendly)!! Here's another link to check out the AWESOME homes! They may not be perfect YET but we are sure on the way! And they maybe nothing much to look out, on the outside, but they look so nice inside AND these homes catche the rain water, feeds it to the home, reuses some of the house water, has solar powered hot water tanks, sky lites (over the tub, i bet that would be so soothing), oh it has it ALL! lol i do hope you have the time to check it out!

Awww Poor Shirley. I am sending you a huge hug. I hope you feel better SOON. Thanks for all your pics... I specially like the little kangaroo mouse ones, they are ADORABLE. May I use them as a template sometime to draw a mouse for an element? I would give you credit, for sure. Your cloud pics are wonderful, feels like I'm sitting right in your front seat. I'm heading off to check on the bio houses.

HEY! Long time no chat, and I'm catching up on your blog. How have you been? Come by and visit me, I have updates, and I'm trying to move to my new blogspot, I'd really like to add you and catch up.

Wish we had some rain like that in our area, we had a terriable fire in town yesterday, it was all over the news. NASTY... some rain would have been nice, instead all we got was wind. yuck
